Great to hear you spent your time there with your nephew. What stuff was in your booth, books, and figures? Did you do well selling? Thanks for posting photos.

Note to self, leave nephew at home next year! Still a pretty cool thing to do for him, he had to have fun.
Nice to know you did well enough to decide to go next year, I'm sure it will be bigger and better.

Is the Donald Duck book being published by Gemstone or now being published by IDW like the Uncle Strooge tpb book you have? I haven't bought a Previews in years so not in the know now....

Loving your posts. I only have a complete series of the first volume of Teen Titans plus the keys of the other series of them.
Your Amazing Spiderman run sounds like a heck of a feat to say the least with only missing 26 books? Crazy cool.

Where does CPG get the prices?

I enjoy this guide and others. None can be always right but this guide is closer to real prices than others over all. Those that use a auction site will use their search option of closed auctions to get a feel of what's selling and for how much.
Some books are always undervalued in most guides while others are over valued. Seems like this will never change. Guides are kinda funny to me. Some think they are gospel while others think they will get you in a ballpark of what something is worth.
Using this site I have loaded only 44 books in my "collection", for a value of over $15,500. I would be lucky to get half of that if sold. I take guides as what they are, a guide. CPG I like the most of guides offered.

Oh, ummm.... my bad... I was trying to get everything posted and then head out to a Super Bowl party. I'm only missing 26 issues between #200 and #700 (still a ton of books). I'm missing significantly more than 26 issues in the entire run. My database says 207, but that number includes issues where I am looking for a better condition copy or I have the 2nd printing and such. Because really, if I have the issue in 1.0 condition or something, I'm probably going to keep looking for a better copy, it just isn't as urgent. I think I would have been showing off way more if I had 674 of the 700 issues.

Gotcha....you still have a great run of ASM even with missing issues. As you mentioned, needing money and patience is needed. That is what is fun of collecting any thing. If you have patience the reward can be great when after time of sticking at it, you finally complete a series or a run. Patience I have plenty of, the cash I have not.

NICE AVENGERS BOOKS!!!

I'm planning to get some coworkers to go this weekend. They aren't comic guys but I would think the action and gags they should like it.

After the site crash I have picked up a few books for the collection. Starting from where I left off, more Batman books. Got issues 150 to 260, now trying for picking up books from 260 to 300 but not limited to that. Also trying to get the issues under 150 of Batman but that will be slow since it is easy to drop $50 or more for one book trying to stay in the VG or better for the lower numbered books.
Ill start off with a variety of books bought over the last few months.....BANG GOES JOKER!!! Well maybe not....can't figure out how to load scans from photobucket...well if it shows up I think I posted a graded book I bought. A Star Wars #1 sketch, original artwork. Perfectly drawn with pencil by no one I've ever heard of but it is really cool.

Thanks Aaron for replying, my book looks great!😜👍

I have posted a few photos on the new forum and they worked. Try to start my back issue thread and have had nothing but trouble. I've tried posting scans three different ways and no luck, at least the links work if clicked on. I preview my post and they show the scans, I post and they aren't showing. I need a 10 year old relative to show me what to do!

Use the guide on this site to look up each book. Maybe then you will know if they are worth something. Easy enough to do. Just takes some time and effort on your part.
