I haven't had any luck trying to post scans on my iPad. My only way I post my books is with my iMac. Now anytime on the iMac on this site I end up with "the wheel of death".... Trying to fix this but not luck at all.
Still trying to post Superman Adventures 5, LiveWire 1st app. So this is a attempt using the iPad....

Darn still a link to click...

Sweeeeeeet buy Mr. Crow
I have 2 copies & 1 x 2nd print...That will have to suffice.
Even though it's not a rare book it most likely will hit the hundred club soon.

Well i have been into comics for 30 yrs now , collecting and reading them. But now i wanted to start getting back into a comic book store. So i was talking with this over with my mom , she told me her bf had some comics. So i asked him if i could see his collection , and he hummed and hawed for weeks. Finally he said yea his comics were in the garage somewhere. So if i could find them i could look at them. I went out to the garage of a fairly new house , opened the garage door and wow , it was filled up to about 3-4 feet of crap and garbage. At that point I was very disappointed. But I crawled into the pile of odds and ends. Within minutes I found the comics. Buried under other garbage , in old clear plastic bags of all kinds , dusty , in cardboard boxes with no tops. My heart dropped , after all this time I was worried they were moldy , wet , falling apart. Took them into the house and started going through the bags. Much to my surprise once out of the old , dusty , dirty bags , the comics held up pretty well. I am just going to post some of the key issues , but there are so many , i cant post them all. Anyway , I love that i get to actually get to play with these comics , lol , well bag them and board them. I evened used dr. gloves when doing so , and told my mom not to touch them smile
Avengers # 1 - 9 , 11
X-Men # 1 - 8
Strange Tales # 69 , 102 -121
AMAZING FANTASY # 15
Amazing Spider-Man # 1 - 79
Journey into Mystery # 83 - 109
Daredevil # 1 odds and end up to 79
So all in all a really good day. Now i just have to get them CGC and then let him sell them for him. But yea that is my story , and i hope i can tell many more like this. Oh there are still a lot of comics to go through but those are the wow ones , I hope you enjoyed my story smile

bow Well done!
Once CGC'd he could probably buy another new house Lol.

Just saying...
Dave

I have a small collection of them. Maybe it's not really a collection - they aren't in the same box.

I also have a funny animal comic from the 40s that has one 'leaf' (one piece of paper, 4 pages) from a different comic - a war comic in Spanish. I think that's pretty interesting too. That probably lowers the value because the story is incomplete.

Got a comic or three published with a missing staple - not interesting or cool.
Different types of printing/production errors are fun because it pulls back the curtain a bit.

Don't ever get rid of them, In some years to come it will all become history (printing is slowly coming to an end). God forbid i'll cry when they stop printing comics.
They shut the printing press down (they did the local paper) in the town where i was born. The paper is still being processed but at another larger town.

Hi Gil,
I didn't know you're on hiatus. Me too. smile Shortly after Civil War my unfiled longboxes of new comics got out of control

Not currently on Hiatus...was between 2001 -2011.
Did not start to buy new books up until just 1 -2 years ago (Tex & Ox got me back into it) Just bought back issues before that.

It was the best thing i ever did, Wasn't by accident either. I had 24-26 news books ever month in the late 90's (all the X-men & spider-man books, Vertigo & was buying HC's,TPB's, Prestige formats, Posters (not many) Etc...It was crazy.

I fell sick & ran out of cash & said "that's it" no more crap!
I didn't think of a Comic in all those years, Until i saw Hulk #182 sitting on the bench of my LCS (which sadly has just closed down due to Digital comics selling more than the hard copy's) in 2011. The rest is history!

This Asian SPAM is getting worse, Quite disturbing actually (pissing me off!!!!)
Every single day now, Is there a way for it to be automatically removed before it crashes our great new forum...It seems to be the same crap every-time.

We had to deal with this problem in the old forum as well???

I know you guys are doing your best but enough is enough with this SPAM!
It's probably why we can't get any other problems dealt with like having our missing issues or database errors that are mentioned fixed.

So, after burning through the first two issues (I think the third is on this week's list, if I remember what the guy at the local shop said), and I rather like it. The artwork in it is less, for a lack of better word, bombastic. DK2 was a bit out there at times. The story seems to have a good set up to drive the plot. I'm glad to see the return of Carrie Kelly. Seems like the world of Frank Miller's Batman is in a whole heap though. Lol. Anxious for the 3rd book to hit shelves.

I got issue one & left it there...Will pick up the hard cover when it comes out.
Thanks for updating as to how it's going though.
