I'm catching stuff up that I missed out on, thankfully a lot of it is still in print. DC: Been reading Suicide Squad (the newer stuff), it works surprisingly well. Batman Superman Earth One A bunch of Batman Elseworlds Dark Knight III. Really eager for book 4.
Marvel: Star Wars Darth Vader Vader Down Princess Leia Shattered Empire Spider Man 2099 (the original stuff)
Image: Ragnarok
I have a complete run of SM 2099 (missing 1 or 2 of the HTF Venom variants) Some collectors didn't like the series but i thought it rocked. Elseworlds, oh! yeah.
Bought DK III #1, Will wait for it to end & get some crazy awesome HC that i'm sure will be released as. |

I bought Bats/TMNT #1 (nice artwork) but stopped at that, Will now wait for the TPB. Batman: Arkham Knight Genesis #1-6 was a fantastic read. Batman: Arkham Knight Bat-girl (one shot) was a great fun read. Although the HQ part was a little boring. Just got #1 of Star Wars Obi-Wan & Anakin had nice art & was OK but just over the "yes master, No master"...I don't care no more master sigh!! Amazing forest IDW was a crazy read Lol & only got to number 2.
I wished i got more of the new Star Wars & Darth Vader stuff etc...No matter. The Lando & Chewie series were great & loads of fun, Can't wait for any of the new gen stuff in the future I think the C-3P0 book will have to be the most long awaited comic ever Lol. I hope it's good (he'll probably just pick up a red arm & put it on)...I'll still buy it
What's my most surprising read at the moment...DC's Batman Beyond & cheaper then some of the other stuff as well. edited by Gilgandra on 3/11/2016 |

I have never made it to a convention actually. Really want to. My son is getting into comics with me now, so I may look for the nearest big con coming up. Maybe Charlotte, NC. I think there is a big one there, only 2 hours away.
In other news, I just added 81 and 94 to my ff run and 12 and 14 for silver surfer. I'm really excited about the 14, scans showed it looking nm ish.
Been to one convention in the more than 2 decades i've been collecting. Loved it, was loads of fun. Be at least another year yet before i go to another |

First off, Nice book. As with anything that's posted one can't make a definite grading because where not handling it. But by the looks of your pics i would put it around the 3.0 - 4.0 & yes it does look to be in good nic for it's age (i looked it up) |

purchasing storage materials

Ah! memories... The first time i got storage boxes & boards/bags (i don't remember what year, maybe "97) was in Parramatta outside Sydney. Think it was 6 storage boxes & 1 pack of boards/bags got more later. I had to carry them with me on the a train back to the nearest station, That was a 6 hrs ride then a 47 km car trip to home. I still have them & they are still in use.
I also get a discount on purchases from my LCS (Sydney) I need to order more storage boxes real soon Lol. edited by Gilgandra on 3/16/2016 edited by Gilgandra on 3/16/2016 |

I hope everyone can see that To me anyway , its pretty awesome , the only comic really bad is the Journey into Mystery. The rest are 5+ and the Avengers #1 is in pretty good shape , but i dont want to jinx myself . There is a comic con near where i live and and Stan Lee will be there , so i was wondering , would it be better to get them signed if i could , then CGC them ?
Ahhhh.....the old question pops up again...."to sign or not to sign".
For the holy grail keys you have I'm in the "not to sign" camp.
I know its Stan Lee and all but signatures are still ink on comics. I have signed books (Stan Lee, Jack Kirby, John Romita etc.) but these books are newer and not holy grails.
Personally, I'm OK with signed books but not for the big books like you have.
What's anyone else think? edited by genuinearticlecomics on 3/3/2016
I'm with you 100% I hate any signature on any of my books, I don't even like them on common books, to me its defaced but that's my opinion.
Yep! They are now a part of history & history does not look good with some sig. across it But like i said before, Bottom inside page somewhere is just fine. |

Funnily enough, I know that Overstreet lists Longshot much higher than CPG does. I had duplicates of the entire series, so I decided to sell them as a whole series for $25 in high grade (9.2 give or take) as a compromise price.. They sold before the show even opened. I mean, I was still setting up my table when another dealer came by and bought them. So... yeah... definitely primed to go up.
That's awesome Doug, There's not much Longshot Australian eBay. CPG has them at $4 each, What does Overstreet have them at Doug? I know there are a million & 1 copies of them out there but most i've seen over the years are in terrible shape. I only have one NM set, Had an extra $30 bucks about a year & half ago. I asked a reg. seller what he had for that price...after some not so fun choices i gave up & just then he said Longshot...after a pause i said o.k. i'll take it. Even he noted they getting harder to find in NM now. |
