I think I had started a thread on the old forum, but I can't remember. I'm a Silver Surfer fan, have been for as long as I've collected. I've been an on\off collector since about 92' when my uncle gave me a pile of bronze and modern books(nothing great value wise, but it got me going). So long story short my end goal has been to collect Silver Surfer books and iconic covers/cameos. Much to my chagrin, I've realized he spends a lot of time with the Fantastic Four. Being the completionist that I am, I'll be collecting that whole series as well. Intro done, here is a list of the back issues I've snagged over the last few weeks that I started collecting again.

Managed to fill in some more FF issues. Streamlined the list a little bit too.

I'm going to fill in 100 to 400 first. Then whittle down the sub 100s. My 56 is pretty nice and I'm sending it to get slabbed. First book ever for me, so it will be a learning curve. May sell it off if it comes back good. Use the monies to buy more stuffs lol.

Oh yeah, eBay can be a money pit when you are really focusing on collecting a specific thing. Conventions, too. On the plus side, you're building up a nice collection.

I have never made it to a convention actually. Really want to. My son is getting into comics with me now, so I may look for the nearest big con coming up. Maybe Charlotte, NC. I think there is a big one there, only 2 hours away.
In other news, I just added 81 and 94 to my ff run and 12 and 14 for silver surfer. I'm really excited about the 14, scans showed it looking nm ish.

71\95 76\78 I picked up FF 71 and 95 tonight, and got 2nd copies of 76 and 78. The 76 might be cgc bound. I also got a decent silver surfer fireside soft cover. Not a bad go.

Been to one convention in the more than 2 decades i've been collecting. Loved it, was loads of fun.
Be at least another year yet before i go to another

Did people stop collecting FF because the last movie sucked so hard?
Or maybe because Marvel has cancelled the series.

I don't know what happened, but I'll take it. If I can land a few things I'm looking at today, I'll have my first 100 issue run done(217 thru 316 of FF). I'm only missing 5.
