Thanks Gil. I like Talia stories and yep the Mr Freeze cover and story is pretty nice. My latest Grail book is Batman 121. Need more money saved to pick one up and it will only be a low grade at that. Something to hope for!
I know of the book you speak off HR! I must say good luck with it as i probably will never see one. |

G'day collectors of the world, I'd thought i'd show some books from my collection that i haven't shown before. Enjoy!
Cap America #445, VF. November 1995. Bought of the newsstand & is so far my favorite Cap. cover, It's by Ron Garney. Like to find a NM copy one day, Something to look forward too.
Spider-man Adventures #1, VF. December 1994. Beautiful embossed cover.
Spider-Man 2099 #25, VF+. My near perfect copy of a newsstand copy. I don't think i'll ever see one this good again
The back!
Ghost Rider #5, NM. Vol.2 September 1990. A long forgotten Jim Lee cover.
Ghost Rider #6, NM. Vol.2 October 1990. A sweet Mark Texeira cover.
The Books of Magic #4, VF. August 1994. An early appearance of Death of the endless on a cover.
ASM #430, -NM. January 1998. Part 1. This is (as Doug has previously said in my thread) the books to get, Don't miss out on them.
ASM #431, -NM. February 1998. Part 2...First time he's called Carnage Cosmic, No-one can take over the Surfer & control him...The Carnage Symbiote did.
ASM #300, -NM. May 1988. My only copy of this most sort after book.

I both loved & hated Bob Hope. As a kid i would always see or hear him in some Movie or TV show. That Judo book looks cool KDS, What year would it be?
Just out of curiosity -Why would you hate Bob Hope? Bing Crosby usually got the girl. (Going waaaaayyy back).
Judo Master is from 1967 or 1968 I think - anyone correct me if I am wrong. Odd thing was he had blond hair and blue eyes - sort of a blond Batman style western fighter studying the far east.
Bing Crosby...You are going way back Lol. My parents would watch his movies alot when i was a kid in the 80's, So yeah i have been desensitized to the man. |

Nice books Gil. X-Men 24 cover I always liked, big fan of Gambit Rogue love story besides them being cool heroes. Looks like your ASM 300 is really sharp. I still don't own that issue. Batman 423 is a really sweet looking cover.
Thanks HR I've had a few good reactions from X-Men #24 (tis' a classic cover indeed) reminded me of the 90's cartoon series. Batman #423 was a surprise, Been after it for many a year but never had i expected to find a 3rd print. Like to get another ASM #300 but they are worth there weight in gold now'a'days Lol. |

I just picked up that Byrne GN as well! Haven't read it yet, just on my list of things to buy in Silver Surfer collection.
Just read it, It was very good. Lots of Kirby characters & the surfer. I don't get to see Galactus in this way all that often, So it was refreshing...even though it's 21 years old Lol. Could easily have been two parter (easily). edited by Gilgandra on 4/6/2016 |

Congrats on the Marvel Comics Presents #1. Nice you got one finally, nice grade. I enjoyed that series a lot. Do you have the Weapon X story in the series? Pretty cool story for a Woverine fan. Think it starts on issue 72. BWS has some wicked covers for it.
Thanks HR. Yes & it's a spanking copy too. Seen 101 copies over the years but all in crap condition Ha ha. I have the first 10 issue in TPB floppy form (forget what its called, Will post it when i remember it Lol) I know of the BWS books you mentioned, If there that good i would like to try for them one day, Thanks for the heads up |

When I bought most of my Marvel Comics Presents books they were in the dollar boxes or less but that was 15 20 years ago. Maybe most ended up in the dollar boxes and got handed over the years. Maybe where Gil lives down under there aren't many copies to be found.
Your a smart man HR That's right, Books are harder to come by here then in the land of opportunity! |

Possibly "Batman: No Man's Land: No Law and a New Order," but I could not find this volume, no matter what I seemed to search for.
A collection of: Batman: No Man's Land #1, Batman #563 ,Batman: Shadow of the Bat #83, and Detective Comics #730
Here's a scan of my cover:
I typed in "No mans land" & found it. Called a TPB (Trade paper back) Not missing, Here it is. http://comicspriceguide.com/titles/batman-no-mans-land---collected-edition/pjstj

Confirmation Needed: Major Force

Hi Everyone,
I need help confirming the 1st appearance of the DC character Major Force. I'm getting conflicting results between these 2 comics.
CAPTAIN ATOM ANNUAL #1 (1987)
CAPTAIN ATOM #12 (1987)
Can anyone confirm which one of these books is the 1st appearance?
Thank you!
Now that you've brought it up GAC i'm getting the same result I have Cap. Atom Annual #1 but not #12. Cap. Atom #12 is published in February 1988. Cap. Atom Annual #1 is also 1988 (not sure what month though), Comic book DB says his 1st app. is the Annual. DC Wiki & Wikipedia say's #12. Sorry i can't confirm unless someone knows the exact month it was published.
Hold the horses.......Just found this on comic vine http://comicvine.gamespot.com/captain-atom-annual-1-the-dark-side-of-the-force/4000-28997/ Published in January 1988 (maybe the Annual is the first app. of Major Force).
I like him as a villain, A true sleeper. Need to find #12 now, Best to have both issue's just in case. edited by Gilgandra on 4/15/2016 |
