No Title Given Mister Miracle and Big Barda put their hands in concrete at the Hollywood Walk of Fame showing a happy face to the general public. Privately they struggle with what happens next, what does Scott want to do on his last day?
Their PR agent, Funky Flashman, wants to capitalize on all the publicity of Scott’s impending execution. He thinks that the New Gods are hurting their popularity by killing Mister Miracle. Barda just rolls her eyes.
Barda and Scott go back to their hotel for some kinky adult activities. Agents of Apokolips have arrived on earth with the sole purpose of trapping and killing Scott Free.
The next day, Scott’s last day, they visit the grave of Oberon and plan out their next activity. They crawl through the traffic of L.A. and talk about when they first met. Scott asks if they have a song. Barda reminds him that they met in the pits of Apokolips surrounded by the screams of the damned. They ask Mother Box to play the sounds of the day they met. As the screams resound through the car they both laugh.
In Scott’s favorite place to get a sandwich, Barda cannot eat because of her concern for him. Later they walk to a local lake where Scott would go when he first arrived in L.A.
At a carnival type game Scott tries to win Barda a large Wonder Woman stuffed doll. Over and over again he misses but he promised it to her on their honeymoon and he feels like he has to win it.
As the sun begins to set near Santa Monica pier, Scott reclines on Barda. Scott goes into an in-depth monologue about Descartes argument, “I think therefore I am. God exists.” Barda sits quietly soaking in some of the last moments with her husband.
While driving to their last stop for the evening, Barda says, “Escape this.” Get out of this execution from Orion. Barda and Scott sit on their car overlooking the valley but to Scott dismay, the stars are covered.
When the get back to the hotel Barda breaks down crying. They are intimate again.
Funky Flashman arrives in their hotel with two guards from New Genesis. Funky describes the camera angles, the applause and how they are going to package Scott’s execution. Before he can finish Barda takes out both guards and Funky. Barda stands unapologetically, naked and bloody, in front of Scott and says, “Stay.”.
