I am looking at the recently published spanish language Deadpool which is not actually Deadpool, but another guy dressed like Deadpool called Masacre, or something like that. A sort of Mexican Deadpool. At first, I thought this was Deadpool, but in spanish, but now I realize it is another character entirely. He is now teamed up with Deadpool in the Mercs for Hire title. Now I heard that this issue will be reissued in english. So, something is going on there. It is, or should be readily available on the comic racks even though it came out about a month or two ago. Just a hunch here...

I have noticed on Ebay that the Labyrinth mini series from Marvel which adapted the Henson movie is red hot right now.
http://www.ebay.com/sch/Comics-/63/i.html?_from=R40&_nkw=labyrinth%201&LH_Complete=1&LH_Sold=1&rt=nc&_trksid=p2045573.m1684&rmvSB=true
I remember when this mini series was popular, but not too expensive. It looks like this is no longer the case.

Labyrinth was also a Marvel Comics Super Special issue. It's $70 now... Is it just because of Bowie? Is it partly because it has become a cult classic movie? Something will be next. Don't know what 'cause it's under my radar.

How about a movie Universe with Transformers, GI Joe, Micronauts, ROM, M.A.S.K, and more? If that doesn't tank something will get hot. Right?

I agree that New Mutants 98 is way overpriced. The value is based solely on demand due to popularity of the character, and it really surprises me the amount of money some people are trying to get on eBay. I once saw someone trying to sell and ungraded copy for $5,500. I was truly shocked no one bought it! /sarcasm. One of my LCS's has an ungraded copy behind the counter for $275 and it has been there for months!
As for what I think will be hot are Excalibur Special Edition (1st appearance of Excalibur) and X-Men 120 (1st appearance of Alpha Flight). Hey, it's only a matter of time before the Brits and Canucks demand Disney/Marvel makes a movie about their home super-teams. And let's face it, these days it seems that movies are what drives up demand, and subsequently, value, for comics.

Both the mini and the Super Special issue were trending up for a while, it has really taken off with Bowie's death. The mini was going for a solid $30-40 for all 3 issues for a while.

It's Monstress. New book with some demand behind it for story and art. It's also a larger book in terms of pages and has a dark cover. Those make it difficult to attain a 9.8. Although there is a pretty good ratio right now of 20 (9.8) / 5 (9.6). First to market sold for $200. Then someone foolishly listed one for $99 BIN which was gobbled up and is now relisted in auction format.

I have noticed that some of the Marvel Romance books are picking up some heat. These are late Silver and early Bronze Age books which people are starting to discover because they have art from some of the great artists from the era. For example, Steranko, Bushima, and Romita all did covers and interiors on these books and they are really hard to find in any condition.
Our Love Stories has seen an increase over the last 6 months and I think it will continue to go up. My Love books are not far behind either.

I have a handful of "My Love Stories". I will have to be on the lookout for increasing prices on these. In the past, the early romance stories (1950's and into early 1960's) commanded the values, while the dying genre in the early 1970's were less desirable. Interesting theory they may increase in value.

Even though the market is hot on suicide squad #1..... I STILL cannot say how solid of an investment i feel it is !!!!! movie by all signs is gonna do well and more than likely launch a solo harley quinn....and even though its not a true harley quinn #1, i think it will surpass it. Due to the fact that it portrays the harley quinn people are going to see!!! i bought a copy last night and i'm debating on buying more.
Personally i think master race is a trap...... shows all signs and pedigree of a sure fire investment. But they are saturating the market.
Anything cable is cheap right now and will surely go up as he is featured in the next movie.

There may be a Bloodshot movie coming out within the next year. While the first comic in the series is a $2 comic at best currently (1992-1993 volume), it may raise when the film is closer to coming out.

Not only is there lots of great art in Marvel and DC romance but it is super hard to find high grade. The attrition rate on Romance is huge so it can be a task to secure copies above a 6.0. The stories a pre sappy and silly but I really enjoy them and just love the art. I am impressed that the artists really worked to make each person look different even in subtle ways. Lots of artists these days barely bother to do that.

What is the deal with Werewolf By Night 32? Sure, first appearance of Moon Knight, but does that cause the book to skyrocket in value just because there is mention of a possible appearance on Netflix? I don't get it! The character has no substance or following for years.

That book has been on the rise for a number of years ... Along with plenty of other Bronze Age books that are getting in 40+ years old.

Dell Lobo is very undervalued in the guide here. He is considered the "first" African American super-hero and the series si extremely hard to find in any condition.

The Lobo prices are pretty consistent.

I think the book is considered the 1st book that has an AA character headlining a comic book. Black Panther is still the first African superhero and the Falcon is the first African American superhero.
A book I think is pretty undervalued is Hell Rider #1. In it contains the 1st appearance of the Butterfly who is the first AA super-heroine.

What do you guys think about Fables #1 (Original + Variant)? They are Valued at 40 and 60 each, but I regularly see them sell over 100 on ebay. They are limited print and are a great read. Tell tale had a successful video game based on these, I'm surprised no TV show or movie has been made. For awhile I thought it could be the next walking dead. Are these issues worth investing in? undervalued, overvalued?

Fables #1 is always going to be worth owning. It may never have a meteoric rise but it should always be a steady gainer over many other books. ANY well written, liked, and game changing book is worth investing in even if it is a slow and steady riser.
IMHO
