Turning Wheels Stanley is trying to get back into shape for his fight so he jogging through the desert. His son, Lucy, drives by but doesn’t stop. Les drives by and asks, “Back in town?”. When he leaves he tells his driver to get seats to Stanley’s “comeback” boxing match.
At the taco truck, Sticky tells Stanley that he got him on the card two weeks from now. Stanley’s son is the headliner on the card.
Lucy learns from his girlfriend that today is his Mom’s birthday and that the fight will take place in a ring and not a cage. Lucy hates the idea because he is an MMA fighter. He also learns that his Dad is fighting on the same ticket. Lucy threatens to cancel the fight but Audrey tells him that they’ve already spent the money. He threatens to get his Mom tickets to see Mercy’s show.
Stanley visits his friend Greg again and asks how the fight will turn out. Greg can apparently see into the future. Stanley reminisces about a time when Les and he were best friends. Stanley cheated with Les’ wife, Cindy, who was a closet drug user because Les beat her. After being intimate with Stanley, Cindy overdosed in the hotel they were using. Les has suspicions even though Stanley wiped down the place and no evidence was found.
Back at Lucy’s Mom’s trailer, she shows off the chocolates from Stanley and the flowers from Les. Mom’s boyfriend comes in and makes fun of Lucy’s name. Lucy decks him.
Les continues to try to put a wedge between Mercy and her Mom, Betsy.
Back to Stanley’s memories, Les kicked Stanley out of his casino. Then Stanley’s wife Julie kicked him out and eventually married Les. Betsy was the one woman Les couldn’t intimidate with money.
