It's New Year's Eve in Los Angeles. But instead of attending a party, the CEO of Stark Enterprises is the guest speaker at an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting. Since Vortex downed a bottle of bourbon several issues ago, Tony has been feeling the temptation to drink. As he reflects on his previous and current struggles with alcohol, it is revealed that Stark was given his first drink as a pre-teen child by his father.

Tony ends the evening at his beach house, watching a video of his deceased friend, Wonder Man. A seductively clad Bethany Cabe interrupts him with a bottle of non-alcoholic wine. With the Mandarin saga behind him and good friends beside him, the armored avenger is ready to move forward alcohol-free. The story ends with the two platonic friends in quiet conversation.
