But if it's in really good condition, there's definitely some value and it would be worth attaching a real grade to it.

12/14/2016 Topic: Question on Grading a comic netstuffers Administrator	Grading takes the whole book into account so a missing staple doesn't necessarily mean it drops the grade by itself, but it is one of the major defects. On our guide, we don't start discussing missing staples until the 2.0/1.5 range. So the rest of the book would have to be in pretty tip top shape with just a missing staple for it to stay at 4.0 http://comicspriceguide.com/comic-book-grading
