This Wally Wood cover is near the top of my favorites list.

It was the first EC I bought.

Two movie adaptation comics.
In 1979 Disney decided to jump on the Sci-Fi film craze that Star Wars had given rise to. In December 1979 they released "The Black Hole"... Disney's first PG rated film. Whitman Comics adapted the film into 2 comics the next year, and also published 2 more that continued the adventure after the movie.

Black Hole #1-3 adapt the movie. #4 is a Whitman prepack only issue and has a sweet painted dino cover - I'm still missing that one.

First series of Moon Knight was really fun.
And I dig those Micronauts. I even have a few of the toys.

Wrightson was a master.
I saw him at a con once. He & Len signed my neato House of Secrets comic.

Plastic tubs didn't exist in the early 80s...
At some point an owner must have bought the tubs (big sale at Walmart or where ever) and moved them from the cardboard boxes...

Neat discovery. smile

Yeah! I know i missed it too. I know as much you guys do.
CPG 3.0 that's a catchy name for it Lol.
Jesse said he contacted them not to long ago & the CPG gods are hard at work getting it done.
Hopefully not to long ...3,4--6 months smile

I have an avatar smile
Lately the forum doesn't crash when I try to post.
"Unread topics" is usually a list of new issues for the guide, mostly variant covers. I don't reply to those.

It's easy to get out of the habit of posting on a personal vanity thread. Hard to find and maintain the motivation to restart. An active forum would need a bunch of those; and new threads for each new comic/sci-fi/related movie, TV series, etc...

The CPG Gods are false gods. smile

Some nice books i just picked up, Enjoy!

War is Hell #1, VF. January 1973. Reprints "BATTLE" #55 (1957) Cover by Herb Trimpe.

Blitzkrieg #1, -F.

Dead of Night #1, F+. December 1973. Reprints "Adventures into Weird Worlds #6" (1952).
Nice copy, I'd like to find all of these one day. Cover by John Romita Sr.

Supernatural Thrillers #2, -VF. February 1973. Sweet copy of a book that I've been after for some time now, It paid to wait.
I'll do a side by side comparison of them with the reprinted mags Masters of Terror later smile Cover by Jim Steranko.

I've had all those issues for a long time. Blitzkrieg cost some money. Kubert Nazi comics are fun reading. Love those 70s Marvel horror reprints. The originals are elusive and not cheap. A good way to figure out if you like that type of story without spending $100s per book.

Might have been Victorian claw foot tubs. That would make for a more interesting story.

Retelling A New Hope as parodies of all the songs on Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band.

Seems unlikely that Disney will allow such extensive use of their video...
