Scarlet Witch Vol 3 Issue 1 Variant #1.11?

Hi,
CPG is missing it, but not unusual for exclusive store covers. And it's not '#1.11', it's just a #1 variant. whakoom just numbers all the variants like that. It's the virgin Stephanie Hans cover, limited to 1,500. I finally got the CPG variant submission form to take it, had to do it 3 times for some reason, but it's now submitted and awaiting approval.

an admin will come along and see this thread and they can change the listing if they agree it's a stand alone issue. I can verify for them your 2nd pic of the indicia says The Avengers Treasury Edition.

Blake's 7 Summer Special 1981 (Marvel UK)

man, wasted way too much time on this.
series: https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/blakes-7/sjtto . CPG lists 3 specials, but no pics. From my searches, it appears there's only 2 specials both done in 1982 and 2 from 1995. You and CPG can check these sites and see:
http://www.tonystrading.co.uk/galleries/comics/blakes7monthly.htm . scroll down and they have pics of the usual summer special, and the 1982 winter special, which may be what's confusing things .after that they show two 2 1995 specials.
another site says "In 1982 Marvel UK released two Blake's 7 seasonal specials to tie in with their Blake's 7 comic" so that would be just the specials noted, summer and winter.
a readcomicsonline site shows the indicia for the summer special (couldn't copy the image) and it says 1982, not 1981.
so my conclusion is that there is no 1981 special, only the summer and winter 1982s. The winter special says 1982 on the cover.
and after scrolling the thru summer issue, it's all about the TV show, and has no comics material in it, so doesn't qualify for CPG standards, so likely grandfathered in a long time ago, so the specials could be removed. then I checked the regular monthly title, and it appears it also does not have anything but some comic strip material, the rest is all pics/interviews/articles about the TV, so seems to me the whole series shouldn't be listed anyway. up to CPG tho.

https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/the-avengers/pmxsk . a member submitted the UK pence prices and people yupped them, but CPG doesn't accept foreign prices for the main price field, just US prices. so those need to be removed.
same with both A-Team specials: https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/the-a-team/smyti

it's been policy for as long as I can remember, that's why most UK and other titles that only have the foreign price don't have any prices on them. ask Ron. this has been discussed for years on here, where ya been? smile
here's Ron's post from 2023:

All values are listed in USD. I know that there are titles that have pence values or Australian values but our system is only in USD. Someday we might add other currencies but that isn't in the immediate future. There are much weighier issues to tackle before then.
Ron

--------------------
and by 'values' I believe Ron means the cover price, not the guide value of course. shoulda said cover price and not values, but since the thread was about cover prices, I'm pretty sure he meant cover prices being in USD. Cuz of course the guide values are all USD.

that's just the most recent one I could find quickly, but I was told years ago that CPG doesn't accept foreign prices for the main price field.
I checked a number of other UK/Aussie titles while searching for that post, and most don't have any cover price listed, it's usually just a subnote made that it's a pence price or whatever.
I see my post about the Tomb of Draculas from last month with pence prices has not been fixed, but they usually are. https://comicspriceguide.com/forum/messages.aspx?TopicID=19974
so ask Ron, and see if all the admins are on the same page about this.

yes there's more, as noted by bleedingcool and many other fan forums. at least 38 total, may be more coming. the list is here:

no pics of each one tho. possibly by now someone on FB or other unsocial media site has pics of all. another comic forum person said Five Below is also carrying them, so maybe if people have that store in their area they can get some there too. if the store is like mine and pretty dead, they may have some on the shelves still.

https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/vertigo-visions-geek/1/rbqt should be Vertigo Visions - THE Geek, indicia pic attached. It has a dash instead of the colon too.

Series: https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/gi-joe/1/piwthqw . I tried to find any pics of the insides but couldn't. was hoping an e**y seller might have them, but the ones I checked didn't (didn't check every one tho), and no one mentioned the outer cover was over the A cover. So since it's a Gotham City Limit exclusive, ask them: gclshopcontact[@]gmail.com.
99.9% chance it's legit, as who would bother to print up 'fake' foil covers and staple/glue them to the regular A edition? Gotham's site has them priced at 19.99 now (but 29.99 on e**y) but that doesn't mean that was the original retail, so ask them. found another site claiming a sale price of $7+change too. e**y is all over the place, but why are people asking over $19.99 when another seller is still selling them ON e**y for 19.99? And why does Gotham on ebay and other sellers say it's by Boom Studios, when it's from Image/Skybound? and why can't sellers get it straight that it's spelled G.I. with the periods, and not GI?
these and other questions will maybe answered on a future episode of......the Twilight Zone. neeny-noony, neeny-noony..
CPG is also missing this variant if someone wants to add it. Limited to 1,000 copies. the league shows 73 different covers, CPG only has like 32, so plenty to add. https://leagueofcomicgeeks.com/comic/2063693/gi-joe-1 .

helps a bit to post a link to the series, https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/batman-off-world/phvqkv . and here's the league's page for creator credits, and all 3 covers for CPG to use: https://leagueofcomicgeeks.com/comic/6880917/batman-off-world-6
better for CPG if you link to the league or comics.org rather than midtown, so they get all the info in (usually) one place.

the spelling beef was more aimed at sellers, not so much forum posters. most of use will shorthand stuff like that cuz it's just faster and we all know what you mean. but sellers are obliged to spell stuff correctly or miss out on some persnickety buyers seeing their listing. after another test search, it appears e**y is also matching it with both spellings if only one is used, although I got 1 more result with just GI than G.I.
and to make it more confusing, I just noticed the cover of the A issue has it as GI with no periods, as does the previewsworld listing, so did they change that at some point back, or is it just Image's series doing that? I didn't feel like looking thru all the Joe titles to see who has what, so what does the indicia say? both comics.org and the league use G.I. on it tho.
hope Gotham City answers you so you and CPG know the correct cover price.

it's here, but in my opinion, under the wrong title under the Special tab (1974-76 Dracula Lives): https://www.comicspriceguide.com/titles/dracula-lives/1special/sbwyhq .You can add the creator info too. And what does the indicia call it?

I attached a cover scan. Since it doesn't say Dracula Lives, and was published 6 years after the Lives series, methinks it should be listed separately as a one shot.

there's no 'pending' noted on the issue's listing for the pic, and nothing on the Verify Data page either. After spending way too much time finding the WRONG issue, copying a pic, posting about it, I finally found the 1 I think you're talking about. comics.org doesn't have it for some reason, and I even searched 'Marvel and Disney Present' like on the cover, and went thru their Marvel UK list. Found an indicia pic on e**y, doesn't actually give a title for some reason, or state an issue number. Usually stuff like 'Full Colour Collectors Edition' is not part of the title. Only found 1 ok pic on a starlog blog, but was tired of searching. so attached that so you can confirm if it's the right issue, and if your pic is better, submit it again and maybe it'll show up. or use mine.
credits are the same as the regular edition, so you might as well add them too:
Writer: Dennis O'Neil
Interior Artist: Marie Severin
Cover Artist: Earl Norem
Inker: John Tartaglione
Letterer: Irving Watanabe
Colorist: Marie Severin
Editor: Jim Shooter

good that they answered you, now someone can add this variant. by what you wrote, I guess 19.99 is the 'cover' price they set.
I got the attachment to open, not sure why you did it that way (didn't know I had openofficedraw), and I copied the text, so here it is, just to verify what you posted (I removed the email address):

Hey Michael!
Super legit copy you have there! Image produced them with the A Cover under the Foil cover! It should have our logo on the back, and they don't print the price on the comic because it is an exclusive to our shop alone and we set the price! Thanks for the support and YO JOE!

Incredible Hulk Summer Special 1989 (Marvel UK)

I see there's the1982 summer special under the 1962 series under the special tab, with a winter issue too, but no pics, so found and submitted the pics. https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/the-incredible-hulk/sbqvb . No 1989 one tho. these don't come up using the Special choice in the dropdown menu or by regular search, so that should be corrected.
I attached a large pic of the creators/indicia page for of the '82 winter special for CPG to use. a readcomiconline site showed it has a 44 page comic black & white story, so qualifies for inclusion.
The '89 one I found 1 pic of two pages of the interior, which was a comic book story, so assume it's also is more than 50% comic book?
For future info, it would help if you would post what the indicia says on these UK comics. Don't need a pic, text is fine. You can also list the creators so CPG can get it all added at once. Thanks, keep at it, you're helping fill the UK void on this stuff.
