Hal McGee was the director of the Secret Hospital soap-opera, starring Brie Daniels and Mary Jane Watson-Parker. He looked nervous and short-tempered, mainly because his wife had an alcohol problem. A moment after having yelled at Mary Jane on the set, he was injured by a falling spotlight whose safety cord was intentionally cut.
While he was hospitalized at Midtown Hospital, he was visited by Jonathan Caesar, who made him write a note to MJ, asking her to meet him, then killed him by injecting a highly toxic poison.
