Secrets, Puzzles And Little Fears... Electro attempts to steal an experimental super-conductor but Spider-Man stops him. Dr. Octopus interrupts and tells Electro the super-conductor was a fabrication he concocted to recruit him. The villains escape in Ock's hover jet. At ESU, Dr. Swann & Anne-Marie have created a dye that will be put into the atmosphere by Cordco to map ley lines, a possible future energy source. Iron Man arrives with the needed integrated reciprocator on loan from Stark Enterprises. The ESU students gush over him. When Spidey steps in for similar adulation, he is mostly ignored. On the "Secret Hospital" set, Hal yells at Mary Jane before being injured by a falling spotlight whose safety cord was intentionally cut. Later, May asks Peter to follow Nathan into town. When Nathan leaves his bank, muggers accost him. Peter drives them off as Spider-Man with help from a woman and her cane. As the woman helps Nathan with his heart pills, Spidey retrieves Nathan's satchel and finds it full of money. Meanwhile, Doc Ock recruits Sandman by threatening to kill the Casadas, with whom he boards. Ock is preparing the crowning caper of his career and is reassembling the Sinister Six.
