Hello everybody! I finally took the plunge and sent a big chunk of my underground comix and art collection to Heritage auctions (along with a few other comics things). They've started posting stuff on their Sunday night Internet Auctions, starting tonight Sunday January 3, 2016. Here's a link to what they've listed so far:http://www.ha.com/c/search.zx?saleNo=121602&collection=41&type=friend-consignorlive-notice&FC=0

Underground comix fans might be interested in posters by Roberta Gregory and Gary Dumm (American Splendor artist). Next Sunday, they'll be listing a sharp Spain Rodriguez poster - "Factwino Meets the Moral Majority." That was a San Francisco Mime Troupe play from back in the 1980s.

In coming weeks, Heritage will be auctioning stuff like All Stars #2, Conen/Dr. Strenge, Jubilee (a rare Craig Yoe zine from 1974 that sports a Rick Griffin cover and has never been listed in any of the UG comix price guides), Promethean Enterprises, Works of Art Comix, Jay Lynch original drawing of Nard 'n' Pat from the 1970s, original Howard Cruse Barefootz drawing from 1970s, a great Art Spiegelman Maus poster, Lynda Barry Heart to Heart Disco poster and much, much more.

Hope you'll take a look. I'll try to send along updates in coming weeks.

Right above is the link for the current Heritage Sunday Internet Comics (or should that be Comix) Auction. I'm auctioning off a real nice copy of All Stars #2 that I've had for about 40 years. Also a nice set of Clay Geerdes Comix World and Heebie Jeebie Funnies #2 autographed by Bil Stout (back in 1982). If you've been following these auctions, you know that my underground comix stuff has been going pretty cheaply. Take advantage of my folly!

This week at the Heritage Sunday Internet Comics Auctions, I'm selling a rare original drawing of Nard and Pat by underground comix legend Jay Lynch. This was drawn for Wayne Gibson's comix zine Koochie Koodle Gallery of Art and Comics Sketching back in 1979 and comes in a frame custom designed by Wayne Gibson. At the time, Wayne was drawing lots of minicomix, including the notorious Penguins In Bondage. When he was planning Koochie Koodle, he wrote to all of the underground cartoonists for artwork. Robert Armstrong, Howard Cruse, Denis Kitchen and S. Clay Wilson also sent pieces.

Drawings of Nard and Pat by Jay Lynch are incredibly hard to come by. I've had this one for over 30 years since I bought it directly from Wayne Gibson. The bids started at $1.00 and are currently up to $16.00. Take a look!

I will be at S.P.A.C.E. (the Small Press and Alternative Comix Expo) at the Northland Performing Arts Center, 4411 Tamarack Road, in Columbus, Ohio this March 25-26 and will be bringing along an exhibition of poster-size prints of vintage minicomix covers from the 1970s and 1980s. This is your chance to see what those Gary Arlington "Off-the-cuff" minis looked like. They will be on display at my table where I will have copies of the definitive minicomix history for sale - The Minicomix Revolution: 1969-1989 - for $40.00.

Sometime Saturday afternoon I will also be doing a reading from the book. A splendid time is guaranteed for all. Watch this space for more details in coming weeks.

The reading from The Minicomix Revolution will be happening at 2:00 p.m. on Sat. March 25. If you miss the reading, come to S.P.A.C.E. anyway. Besides myself, other veteran minicomix cartoonists like Tim Fuller, Matt Feazell and Marc Myers will also be in attendance.
