In your numbering system, that would be 3A, the reprint.

Mickey Mouse #1 IDW era variants

So, were there 7 or 8 covers for this comic?

There was the Regular cover, the subscription cover, the Retailer Incentive cover, the Blank Sketch cover, the SDCC cover, the Fourth of July cover, and the Four Color Grails magic act cover. That's seven. So my question concerns the R.I. Retailer Incentive cover since I keep seeing two different versions of it.

One is Mickey looking sheepish as he digs in his pocket for his invitation to the Disneyland Diamond Celebration.
The other is Mickey looking panicked as digs in his pocket for his invitation to the Disneyland Diamond Celebration.

I have the looking sheepish one so I'm wondering if the other one does exist or not.

Well, Duh, email IDW and ask.

The yellow banner Mickey (Mickey panicked) was the image sent to the preview catalogs, and some businesses put that image into their databases. But then Disney sent a suggestion or two to IDW and the ice blue banner Mickey (Mickey looking sheepish) was the one which was sent to the printer.

Seven covers.

That's the cover for the first light novel, and not this volume of manga.

This is an example of the cover you want.

What about the Loot Crate variants? I know I have half a dozen manga titles from them and none of them are in this database. Are you planning on adding them?

In 2011 Boom! Studios was printing Ducktales, with multiple covers.

Issue 2 has three. I need the third, or C cover.

I've nicknamed it the Indian Jones covers, since it looks like the Indiana Jones poster, with him framed in a temple doorway.

But this, obviously, is Scrooge with Launchpad and the three grand-nephews, framed in a temple doorway.

Gemstone pub. Donald Duck Adventures - Purple

Gemstone, in 2003, I think it was, did five different free variants of the Donald Duck Adventures, which they were publishing at the time.

They were all for different comic-cons, other conventions, or the FCBD that year.

The colors were RED, YELLOW, SILVER, BLUE, AND GREEN. The same issue, just different colors for the Barks classic, Maharaja Donald.

In 2006 they did a purple variation, for the Geppi's museum, complements of the Baltimore Raven's football team. Its color was purple.

It too was a give-away to promote the museum and the Ravens, since they're both in the same city.

Yeah, on Ebay at the moment are the Red, Yellow, Silver, and Blue versions.
The green version is the rare one.

So I guess that mean that the purple is rare are well.
Since it was a Baltimore focused issue, the Museum and the Ravens, it might have been
only offered in the Baltimore area.

Anyone in Baltimore?
Give a look at your local shops.
If you find something for 1-5 bucks, I'll double your price and pay for shipping.
If you find a copy for more than that, get back to me and we'll work something out.

Cheers....

Actually, I'm not certain that this comic exists.

I have NEVER seen it offered, ANYWHERE.

It might have been in the Previews, and everyone put it into the
various databases, and then got yanked at the last minute.
So it might not have been published.

Anyone with any insight into this issue, please set forward.
Any clarity would be appreciated.

have you asked Boom studios if they ever published it? And it has 'kaboom' on the cover, so I tried searches with that and still came up blank for the #2c cover other than previews and solicitations/announcements sites.
boom email is contact at boom-studios.com

see this old ebay listing on worthpoint if you haven't, he also says it may not exist, and he had the whole run: https://www.worthpoint.com/worthopedia/ducktales-comics-boom-run-17-sdcc-1736616610

when *bay, mycomicshop and mile high don't list it even as out of stock, it's really rare or doesn't exist, so BOOM! can tell you for sure, right?
edited by collectibleshop on 3/11/2019

Actually, I tried emailing Boom about that, oh, probably a year ago - but got no response.
I guess turn-over being what it is, they didn't have anyone still on staff who would know
or they blew me off.

Anyway, the worthpoint link was helpful, but I do have news for whom ever posted that Ducktales Run. The second SDCC Ducktales cover, the blank sketch cover, does in fact exist. I have one!

So that's not an issue for me. The issue is the 2c cover. Thanks for your input.

I'm wondering something.

Since that second cover of the C book had a UPC code on it, that it represents an actual comic and not just a publishers preview?

If that's the case, then that would mean it does in fact exist.
