Just watched the last episode. I think I enjoyed this one the most. The fight scenes were a lot of fun. All in all, it was a good way to end things too.
I was a bit disappointed with the end credit scene though. I was hoping for the usual "what? no way!" sort of thing. Not... that.

I just watched episode 6. I liked the whole series even though I'm not a big fan of the characters.

I'd have liked to have seen Jack in costume. I thought a certain Marvel Netlix superhero was going to make a cameo, but they didn't do that.

Huh. Didn't realize he was an actual character (Swordsman). Maybe we'll see him don the garb in something in the future along with his former partner (I'm guessing that's the cameo you were hoping for).

I'm just making an assumption about Jack.

I was hoping to see the guy that fought Kingpen in the past.

Is this the issue of Simpsons Strike Back that you want added?

https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/simpsons-comics-strike-back/tmpwi

You have to select Australia to see it. Everything defaults to USA.

I don't really agree with the default, but I'm sure it's necessary to minimize the server resources being used on searches.

I'm not familiar with those at the GCD comics linked to above, but I did save a few scans while compiling my web page for Charlton Shoe Store Giveaway comics.

Here's a Weather-Bird Comic wraparound on a copy of MD #3 (EC Comics)
Notice the staple placement. The cover was likely added later and not bound on the comic originally. It does not have an EC cover underneath the cover you see.

Here's a Weather-Bird comic that does appear to be bound onto the comic in the original binding process.

I entered these 2 under "Special Tab" with the Weather Bird title I added before. That way there not lost in the Database. I should imagine there are not many of these getting around. https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/weather-bird/pkxyly

Have to do the Harvey ones another day. Like to add all those weather Bird Shoes first.

When people sort through their collections, these are less likely to get scanned or put up on eBay to sell. I need to scour the web for Blue Bird Shoe comic images again. There are a lot of variant covers for those.

Has anyone besides me noticed the similarities between the Blue Bird Comics colophon (Charlton) and Valiant's limited Harbinger TPB logo they used?

When You Happen On A Book You've Been Looking For

I was looking for a comic that is not real noteworthy, but I still wanted it. I'd check comic shops all around Atlanta. No luck. I had searched through boxes at both large conventions and small one day shows. No luck. One day I stopped by an antique shop not far from home just to see what they had. I wasn't looking for comics. Staring me in the face was the comic I'd been looking for. I had searched a decade for the comic and I ended up finding by accident at an antique shop. It was closer to home than any comic shop in town. I just thought it odd how much deliberate effort I'd wasted over the years. I thought it odd that I eventually found it so close to home.

If you find a Charlemagne #4 (DEFIANT Comics) signed on the letters page by me... just know that a local comic shop requested that I sign it. They insisted.

That was the first comic to print a letter of mine. There are a couple of others that printed my letters, but I didn't sign any of those.

Those old Journey into Mystery issues are difficult to find in that condition. Usually, they are beaten up.
Good finds,

I'm happy with VG or better. My main focus is Tales to Astonish, but I've switched over to Journey Into Mystery because the local show is running dry on Tales to Astonish.

Yeah not sure why your links are showing 2 whitman variants collectible. I did change them before and my links are showing the correct whitman Diamond price box, And req. square price box ?? That UK version of Cap. America #208 is already listed here https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/captain-america/pkutmv

208 and 208B appear to be exactly the same whitman diamond logo comic. https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/captain-america/208B/xnqsl and https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/captain-america/208/pkxvlsr .

If you search for it through the site, it comes up correctly...

The old link to the wrong image must be still working.

It's stranger than that. If you search by title alone and filter by Whitman, it only shows one Whitman comic for 208... the good scan.

I see now that both Whitman scans show up if you search with the issue number field populated.

Those Journey into Mystery issues have great coloring.

Nice pickup

I prefer the old coloring to the new stuff.
Modern comics have too many colors not found in nature.
They want too much stuff to glow.
They have gradients that are so uniform that it makes everything look plastic.
Give me the old coloring with that organic style to it.
