Story ends with Warlock's Funeral, attended by surviving members of X-Force, who have placed Warlock's ashes upon the Gravesite marked by a tombstone naming "Douglas Ramsey." The story ends (?!) with these last two cryptic sentences:
"Beneath the azure sky, the mound of ashes seems to flash in answer. Is it merely the sunlight glinting on metallic dust... or the promise of something more?"
