Logan arrives at a bar located in Vancouver, British Columbia. He is there to visit his old friend, Puck. Over in Osaka, Lady Deathstrike is on the hunt to find Wolverine. She starts with the Yakuza warehouse, where Wolverine killed Dai-Kumo and his gang. From there, with the help of Gateway, she heads over to Madripoor to find out from Tyger Tiger where he is. Tyger reluctantly gives up Wolverine’s whereabouts - he is in Vancouver. Deathstrike uses this information and tries to convince Gateway to send her there. He is being stubborn, so Deathstrike requests that he send her to where Wolverine is gazing at that very moment. She knows little, but Logan and Puck talked about Spain in 1937. When Gateway sends Deathstrike to where she requested, she is sent in a time vortex that sucks up Deathstrike, Wolverine, and Puck. They were dropped in Spain in 1937, at the heart of the Spanish Civil War! There, Puck and Wolverine meet up with Ernesto and Inez. After a Nazi air raid, all four get into vehicles and head off to the mountains. Deathstrike ends up in Spain, but she is greeted by Nazi soldiers who believe her to be a Republican partisan. Because of that, they plan to hang her from the telephone pole!
