The Huron Indians ware Jesuit priests and flee the a neighboring village of St. Louis. Two priest are captured, tortured and die in March 1654. The Huron Indians and the priest abandon Ste. Marie and build a base on an island. Later, two priests go froth from the island to preach to more native people. They eventually wind up dying from the attacking Iroquois. The head Jesuits tearfully leads the priests and the Huron Indians to Quebec.
