The Asgardians travel to the Dark Nebula, where they are attacked by the miners, who think they are raiders coming to attack again. Once they are defeated and realize who they are, they offer to help. They begin to check with the Alterian miners who deal in slaves when Mercurio and his army attack them. While they are fighting, the three miners surrender themselves to a gigantic jewel in their mine. The jewel then erupts from the surface, and Thor sees that Sif and Karnilla are trapped within the jewel. The voice of the jewel tells them that if they come any closer, they will die.
