Beyond The Border Lurks Death! Hulk has landed in Canada in his usual fashion: With a bang. The impact of his last leap caused enough racket to draw the attention of a group of RCMP officers on horseback and prompt them to go and investigate. When they spot the Hulk, the Mounties calmly orders the Hulk to surrender to them to be turned over to the American authorities. The Hulk responds by pulling up the ground from under their feet, sending the Canadian law enforcers tumbling to the ground. Regaining their feet, the Mounties begin to fire upon the Hulk, but the Hulk stops the attack when he strikes a tree causing it to tumble into the path and leap away.
The news of Hulk's arrival in Canada spreads quickly and a border crossing between Ottawa and Montreal refuses American travelers for their own safety. One car in line is driven by Hank McCoy and his old girlfriend, Vera Cantor. This setback upsets Cantor, who needs Hank's genetics expertise on some important mission to save the whole world. Unknown to Vera, Hank was a member of the X-Men known as Beast, who recently mutated himself further to have the appearance of a literal beast. Hank knocks her out by punching a nerve, changes out of his human disguise, and reveals himself to the border patrol guards carrying Vera over his shoulder. This startles the border guards long enough for Hank to slip into Canada and the woods. There he changes back into his human disguise before Vera wakes up. When Vera asks him how they got across the border, he tells her it's an old Rum smuggler's secret and that he needs to knock it out. Due to the urgency of Vera's problem, Vera accepts this and the two continue on their quest.
The Hulk, meanwhile, is continuing to leap and bound across the Canadian wilderness when suddenly he realizes his great strength and abilities are slowly waning away, but he has no idea why. Realizing that if he goes in a certain direction, he continues to grow weaker, the Hulk decides to follow the trail and stop whoever is sapping away his strength.
While elsewhere, the Hulk and Vera reach their destination, a log cabin in the woods. After being signaled that the coast is clear, Hank learns Vera has brought him to see his old foe and former X-Men teammate Mimic. When he considers that Mimic didn't tell Vera about his secret identity, which confirms to Hank that Calvin Rankin really needs his scientific expertise to tackle whatever problem threatens the world. Inviting them in, Calvin explains to Hank that his mimicking power has grown out of control and that he's begun not only mimicking people's powers but leeching them away to the point where he can potentially kill them. Calvin has been trying his best to control his abilities, but they continue to grow and fade as time progresses, getting stronger each time. By his calculations, Calvin believes that his powers could cause him to suck the life out of every living thing on the planet. Taking them to the cabin's basement, he reveals that he and Vera have pooled all their money into expensive equipment to try and cure Mimic of his powers. However, they have not succeeded and decided to seek Hank out to see if he can help.
The Hulk, meanwhile, is continuing his trek toward the source that is draining his powers, now finding that his leaping ability and his strength have been greatly diminished, but he continues to plod on even if it means the end of the Hulk. General Ross has learned back in the States that the Hulk has arrived in Canada and asks for permission to cross the border and deal with the Hulk. This request is denied as the Canadian authorities wish to study the situation and determine their solution, and Ross is ordered to remain in the United States. Furious that the Hulk is in Canada where his daughter Betty is currently on her honeymoon
Nightmare In Niagara Falls! After learning from the Abomination that Betty Ross has gone to Niagara Falls, the Hulk bounds across the country to try and track her down. However the Hulk eventually stops when he realizes that he has no idea where Niagara Falls is and stops by a lake to think about things. This calms the Hulk down enough for him to transform back into Bruce Banner. Dazed, Banner decides to continue searching for better, and traveler's checks that he has he buys some new clothes and hires a private plane to fly him to Niagara Falls.
Meanwhile, General Ross mobilizes a flight team of Hulkbusters to search for the Hulk. As they fly out of the Project: Greenskin base, the Rhino revives and sneaks away after his fall into the Earth's atmosphere when Ross blasted the ship he and the Hulk were in as it returned to Earth.
Reaching Niagara Falls the pilot flying Bruce Banner mentions that it is a ideal vacation spot for honeymooners. Bruce then remembers that Betty has recently married Glenn Talbot and recalls that the Hulk was told she was in Niagara Falls. The distress caused by this realization causes Bruce to transform into the Hulk once more. The Hulk then jumps out of the plane, smashing through it's roof and causing it to crash.
Coincidentally the plane crashes right in front of Glenn Talbot who witnesses the Hulk landing in the falls. Not wishing Betty to see the Hulk, Glenn rushes off to spirit her away some place else before she does. The Hulk spots Talbot and considers him an enemy, and begins climbing up the falls to capture him. Along the way he is ambushed by Tiger Shark, who has been hiding in Niagara Falls ever since he helped Llyra kill the Sub-Mariner's father and thinks the Hulk has been sent by Namor to get revenge.
As the two titans battle it out in the Falls, Glenn rushes off to call General Ross so that support can come to battle the Hulk. He then rushes back to the hotel room that he and Betty have been staying at and suggests that they go and take a trip up into Canada to see the sights. He manages to convince her to go on the trip, leaving her completely unaware that her first true love is battling for his life in the waters nearby.
The Hulk is submersed in water, and is easily outmatched by Tiger Shark in his natural environment. Needing air, the Hulk manages to get away long enough to surface and get on dry ground. Tiger Shark follows after him to resume the fight, this however proves to be the villains undoing. Here the Hulk easily defeats him, smashing him about and grabbing him by the fin and slamming him into the rocks before throwing his unconscious body into the waters below. By this point General Ross and the Hulkbusters have arrived, prompting the Hulk to retreat by punching a tunnel through the rocks.
Having lost the Hulk, the Hulkbusters pull back to wait until he resurfaces. When the Hulk does, he does so many miles later well into the Canadian boarder. Unaware where he is, the Hulk bounds onward in his quest to find Betty, unaware that he has just jumped past her as she drives through the Canadian wilderness with Glenn.
