The city of Metropolis is still in upheavel due to the effects of a drink called Yes! Meanwhile, a futuristic version of Superman travels backwards through time to the present era. He finds Superman and warns him that he is of the time of the FutureSmiths, and in his timeline, Lois Lane is killed and the world teeters on the brink of destruction. Superman agrees to help his future-self to prevent this disaster from ever taking place.
