Young dirt biker Ken Connell is one-day riding when he suddenly comes upon a blackened area of the woods. He sees an old man by his bike. The old man then gives him an incredible power he might not be able to handle.

There is a weapon in the universe more powerful than all others. No more coveted, feared, loved, or hated things exist. Only a fool, or a madman--or the right man-- would dare possess... The Star Brand.

He soon gets into multiple battles with a mysterious alien who thinks he should have the Brand instead. Even more difficult, he begins to try to figure out how this will change his life.
