Gold! Gold! Who's Got the Gold!
Continued from last issue... With Jack Smith waiting with the police to bust Cage and Thunderbolt for stealing the gold shipment Luke has been hired to protect, Thunderbolt flees the scene. Luke manages to defuse the situation explaining that Goldbug stole the gold shipment, not him.

Meanwhile, Thunderbolt flees into an alley and recounts the events that led to his becoming a hero: How he was D.A. William Carver, and how his little brother Lonnie was murdered by somebody trying to kill him. And how at Lonnie's funeral, William spotted the killer and tried to take him down, but the two were both struck by lightning. When Carver was treated by an experimental Cobalt device, he would be restored to health, and would later learn that he had gained super-human powers, and would take on the guise of Thunderbolt to fight crime.

Cage and Thunderbolt meet up later and team up to track down Goldbug. They manage to find his hideout but when Goldbug tries to kill them in a special rocket, the two manage to survive. Attacking Goldbug aboard his craft, the ship is damaged and threatens to crash on a crowd of people.
