Root Of Evil Namor, Misty Knight and Colleen Wing fight and rescue an enslaved Lei Kung "The Thunderer" from the H'ylthri. Lei Kung tells the three rescuers how he was captured while investigating the strange resurrection of Iron Fist ( Iron Fist is considered dead at this point of the storyline.). On the quest for Iron Fist, the four find themselves attacked by the H'ylthri and everyone but Namor succumbing. While trying to rescue his companions, Namor stumbles on the captured villagers of K'un-L'un in digestion pods used to feed the young of the H'ylthri, he also discovers Iron Fist also thus encapsulated. Wolverine is being tortured and enslaved by the H'ylthri and ally Plant Man.
