 The Granite Sky!
* Captain America Guest Appearance

At the docks, Peter Parker is continuing to mourn the loss of Gwen Stacy, when he is given advice by Nathaniel (The sailor who provided advice to the Human Torch in Marvel Team-Up #2.) Nathaniel is once more spooked by the sudden disappearance of another young man he's provided advice too when Peter web-slings away when Nathaniel is not looking. His attention is turned to the river soon after, and pulls out the Grey Gargoyle, who has washed to shore, the Gargoyle repays his kindness by turning Nathaniel into stone.

Web-slinging across the city, Spider-Man spots a number of AIM operatives, and gives Captain America a helping hand in stopping them. During the "clean-up" after the battle, they are taken aboard the SHIELD helicarrier and given a briefing by Nick Fury himself. Fury explains that AIM has stolen vital telemetry headed for Cape Kennedy, which they intend to use for their own rocket tests, and asks Captain America and Spider-Man for their help in breaking up the operation.

Tracking down the AIM base, Captain America and Spider-Man battle AIM and the Grey Gargoyle over control of the device. Despite being shackled to a rocket, the two heroes manage to break free and stop AIM and the Grey Gargoyle.
