The Sound Of The Silencer! Count Barzon accepted an assignment from the Bodavian Freedom Party to kill Sigjid Roskoff, an outspoken editorializer. As the Silencer, he captures him at the Bodavian Embassy in New York, forces him to retract his editorials, and then kills him. He later attacks a Communist rally but is opposed by the Falcon and narrowly escapes. At a rally in Roskoff's honor, Barzon arranges for a Hal Doerner to appear as the Silencer, throwing off suspicion. Barzon has planned to murder Doerner and believes that no one will suspect his double identity.
Cleverly, Roskoff has left a clue in his confession letter, which the Falcon was able to discern enabling him to capture Barzon and send him to the Police.
