Fortress Viderdoom The story begins with Peter's new found half-sister, Princess Victoria, Commander of the Spartax Royal Guard, about to turn Peter in to Count Bligh at Fortress Viderdoom for a blood bounty that was put on him by Mister Knife.Peter is sentenced to spend his remaining days in the fortress' grimepit, the bowels of a great beast. When Count Bligh asks Victoria if she has any objections, she says that Peter is "just a big payday" to her. The scene then flashes back to two hours before, where Victoria explains her plans to collect the bounty for Peter and blames him for their father being deposed and in hiding. Victoria intends to use the money to pay her soldiers and help refugees of her father's empire. Peter is hurt by her harsh words and in short order succeeds in disarming her, resulting in a standoff between Peter and her guards and ship defenses. Peter suggests a plan where Victoria can surrender Peter in order to collect the bounty and betray Viderdoom to obtain even more money. The scene flashes forward to Peter being taken away as the bounty is transferred to Victoria. Once the transaction is complete, Peter breaks free and he and Victoria defeat the castle guards and capture Count Bligh. Bligh is forced to transfer all of Viderdoom's funds into Victoria's account. A second wave of guards attack and Victoria and Peter escape the moon aboard Victoria's ship. The whole moon comes alive and destroys the castle built upon it's back. Victoria offers to transfer half of the funds over to Peter and he refuses it, suggesting that she use it to help refugees. Victoria accuses Peter of having a death wish if he is willing to risk his life for nothing. Peter responds that he made a deal with Thanos to get out of a situation and has been living with guilt for a long time. Now he has to find Thanos and confront him to make things right. The scene changes to the monster that had Fortress Viderdoom upon its back. Count Bligh has barely survived and encounters Mister Knife, who decrees that Bligh's punishment for his failure to capture Star-Lord and losing his money is that he will now serve Mister Knife as his accountant and there is a lot of work to do.
