 Bargain Of Death
After putting on a show for children at the Good Heart Hospital, the Human Torch and Sun Girl chat about the Torch's powers. Sun Girl wonders how good a crime fighter the Torch would be if he didn't use his flame powers. The two make a bet, and the Torch promises to go the entire day without using his flame powers. He even promises that for each time he does, he will donate $1000 to the hospital.

Can he do it?

NOTE: This issue marks the last Human Torch back-up story in Captain America Comics until a brief revival in the 1950s. Next issue's back-up story features the Sub-Mariner.
