Cover story. While writing a story for the Stanhope Sentinel, Linda (Supergirl) Danvers undertakes to stay overnight in the Amos Ameswell Haunted House to prove it's all fake. After meeting Jor-El's ghost, she switches into Supergirl and goes up against the fearsome Thought-Beast. This tale concludes in Adventure Comics #396.

The second (?) appearance of the Thought-Beast from Krypton's Scarlet Jungle (first introduced in Superboy #102, January 1963).
