9/24/2020 Topic: Sell a set? Ronbatman Administrator	To clarify, you cannot put a note in your individual book listing that says, "I want to sell as a set". The only way is with a classified ad. We had some problems when someone wanted to buy an individual book and the seller wanted to sell sets or runs. Because of those past issues, we only allow sets or runs in classified ads. We have been working on adding the sets or runs as an option but it's more difficult than we imagined. Still working through those issues. Ron
9/25/2020 Topic: New Feature related to Variants Ronbatman Administrator	So we had some people say things like, "How do I know if I submitted this variant?". Honestly, there wasn't a good answer. Unless you kept track yourself there was no way to know if you had submitted it or not, until now. The video does a better job of explaining it but I'll go ahead and write a summary. https://youtu.be/kqcfeyDt3ig When you submit a variant on the site, that variant will appear in your account under the issue. For example, let's suppose you added a variant to Detective 1027. https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/detective-comics/1027/phppctw If you went to the bottom of the variants tab, directly under the red button you will see your variant submission. No one but you can see that submission. You also have the ability to edit it or delete it. The real goal is to allow you to keep track of what you've submitted to the site. 9/26/2020 Topic: E-Bay Is NOT A Price Guide!!! Ronbatman Administrator	I look at values every day for all kinds of books. There are big differences in values. I routinely see the same book in the same week in the same condition sell for double. It makes no sense but it happens all the time. There are things that we do to help with this. 1. We will throw out (ignore) a super high or super low outlier. Example prices 70,40,30,30,30,30,30,25,22,23 We would eliminate the 70. This kind of thing happens daily. 2. Averaging prices - one price is not enough to put a value on a book. 3. Using multiple sources - In an average week, I look at Heritage, Comiclink, Ebay, and our in-house sales No guide is perfect and should be used as a guide and not a Bible.
9/29/2020 Topic: There was an unidentified error submitting...? Ronbatman Administrator	The file has to be the correct size and type. So it cannot be too big (less than 5MB) or be a .pdf file. JPG files work and PNG files work. I use Chrome and it works fine for me. R

If we spread the work out among several people that really helps us. $500 to spend on one book There are several undervalued books and some highly valued books to choose from. 9/29/2020 Topic: Potential Scam or Super Aggressive Seller? Ronbatman Administrator	Recently, I've caught two Bronze members sending out tons of messages on the site to sell books. While it's not specifically wrong, it's a nuisance to our members. They were both new members who joined and immediately started messaging people. The newness of their accounts is a warning sign to us. If you receive a message from a new member please let us know. We haven't determined if this is a potential scam or if these people are aggressive sellers. We are trying to err on the side of safety. One of our goals is to create a safe environment for buying and selling on the site so we take this seriously. Ron
9/30/2020 Topic: How would discoloration near spine affect grade Ronbatman Administrator	That looks like water damage to me, which would dramatically change the grade. It isn't slight. Back cover damage is treated exactly like front cover damage when grading. Ron
