Fair enough dissing someone's work when they're alive or been dead a long time. But to be disrespectful days after they died is not cool. I liked Stan for the man that he was. Very eloquent in the way he spoke and appeared. Not just his work. I believe it was mainly his vision of comic books that got it all going again. |

Suppose it's like The Beatles hey? Lennon and McCartney were nothing without each other. Apart from Imagine by Lennon of course.
Didn't Neal Adams have a big part to play too? I'm sure I watched somewhere thatch he fought to get artists much higher pay. They were dis-regarded back in the day. |

Just got back from comic Con in Birmingham UK. A little bit gutted I saw a fella haggling to buy Iron Man number one and this Avengers 57. I have this avengers CGC 4.5 but this looks a much higher grade. dealer said he would grade at about an 8.0 I have had a quick look and would say about a 6.5/7.0 The other fella purchased the Iron Man 1 and I was really hoping he wouldn't so I could have both. He got it for £160.00 I got this for £165.00. Both were priced at £200 each so got a good deal off. Found out the guy that purchased the Iron Man was another dealer (with a stall at the con) and he wouldn't budge from £250.00 and he knows, I know, how much he got it for. Though it was still probably worth around that mark I couldn't bring myself to buy it off him knowing how much he paid for it. 5 seconds earlier and I could have had it. Saw other copies for £200 but not as high a grade as what he got. Will send this off one day to get graded. How many grades will they knock off for the price stamp?
Good day out. Got my son a Punisher 1 comic signed with COA from DF for his birthday so he will be super pleased with that.

The dealer said about an 8.0 but I thought about 7.0 because of the stamp. The Iron Man was in pretty much the same kind of condition. |

Looking at a PGX signed by Stan Lee on Ebay. Do PGX witness the dig like CGC? Been on the PGX website and it says they authenticate the sigs but not Jack Kirby, Steve Ditko or Stan Lee's. Does this mean the Stan Lee sig was witnessed by PGX? I know PGX have a bad rep but Im just after the sig authentication side of things for this book. |

Are you part of the Ebay global shipping program? Just wondering if the shipping cost on your listing for the UK is all I have to pay and not get stung with another charge from customs. Can work out what to bid then.

Did you follow these guidelines for uploading cover scans?
First off, thank you for helping us make CPG the best comic resource on the web. Here are some guidelines to upload comic cover scans to the database. If you don't see your scan approved within a 2 week period it might have not been up to par, please review the items below and make sure the scan meets all requirements .
First off if you are new to scanning comics, take a moment to read a quick step by step to scanning I have here at my website. You can also see some examples of bad scans that will not make it into the database.

Covers must be:
1. Cropped properly. No background showing.
2. No digital camera pictures.
3. No covers with URL, company watermarks or logos.
4. No covers with scanline patterns will be accepted.
5. No covers scans with the comic still in the bag and board.
6. No grainy or blurry scans.
7. Adult covers with nudity must be edited with black boxes.
The only exception to the above rules are Golden Age covers.
We are a little more flexible with these, due to the rarity of getting a cover scan.
If you are scanning in your own covers to upload I recommend a 200 to 300 DPI setting and then resizing the covers to a 350 x 535 pixel size before saving. This is a standard I have used for a few years that makes a good clear scan without being a huge filesize.

I was looking at getting Aquaman Hot Toys myself but went for Thanos instead. Hopefully shipping out in April. Might go for Aquaman next time. He does look a good piece. |

Nice little horde he has. Can't find it on EBay though. I'm pretty sure the English moderator (Can't remember his name) was from Stoke. He was definitely from Staffordshire though, as I'm from Staffordshire too.
