10/31/2019 Topic: Comic issues still missing prices Ronbatman Administrator	Ebay sold items is part of the story. For some books, it's the only source but for others, it's just a piece of the puzzle. There are marked differences between the auction sources, storefronts, Facebook and our sales on CPG.
11/1/2019 Topic: New Update to the App Coming Ronbatman Administrator	Every book that you mentioned comes up with a cover scan for me on the app. Which means the app is functioning correctly. Potential causes - Some work IT departments block entertainment websites. I spoke with someone this week who said all images on the main site display at home but not at work. They want you working. If this happened late on Sunday or very early Monday morning then it might be related to our regularly scheduled image backup system. 11/1/2019 Topic: Comic issues still missing prices Ronbatman Administrator	All platforms have issues, so "true value" is a moving target. For eBay, I look at their prices all day long. There are certain sellers who routinely get 30% to 50% more for the exact same book. How? It could be that they offer better shipping or the customer has a relationship with them. But it could also be an attempt to deceptively raise the price of a comic that they own multiple copies. I keep a list of sellers who have somehow gotten ridiculous prices. This week I saw a book CGC graded 9.8 sell for $169 and $110. Is it really worth 50% more? For Facebook, I've seen the hottest books blow up into crazy prices. As you mention in your post, I don't think that is uncommon. For Comics Price Guide, we see people buying filler books all the time. Because we have only a membership fee, sellers can sell more inexpensive items easier on our site. Our issue is when a book blows up because of some announcement people will buy the book out before we can even change the price. Someone is getting a great deal so I guess it works for the buyer. R

Some people love the Golden Age, or horror books or superhero books or fantasy books or modern variants or whatever. Some of you have expertise with things that we aren't necessarily interested in, which is great. To create a better price guide and a more complete picture of the comic book market we are enlisting all of our paid members for help. If you are a silver or gold member you can suggest value changes with links. Beyond our own research, it alerts us to changes that you've seen. We really think this will improve the site and give everyone a more accurate picture of the marketplace Important things to note 1. We will check each listing and suggestion. 2. You cannot submit links from other price guides. 3. We will see your name, user name and the date when you submitted the suggestion. 4. This program isn't related to the number system so no negative or positive points are awarded for this. 5. 11/11/2019 Topic: New to the comic book world. pointers? Ronbatman Administrator	On a passing glance the X-factor #6 has several issues that would count against it. 3 of the 4 corners are rounded. Along the top edge there seems to be a crease or fold above the word "and". I cannot see the spine clearly because it's still in the bag but based on the other factors I would guess that there are spine creases that don't break color. (could be pressed out if they don't break color) In general, you want to have a book that is over $50 before sending it to grading. You have to pay for grading and shipping and then any fees to sell it. Those items add up and you want to make money on this venture. All the best, Ron

The pages link at the bottom doesn't work yet but that is on the big list. R

We are looking for any credible source for sales so it could be Heritage, Comic Link, Ebay, CPG (we see our sales). I've had Brazilian customers submitting links from an auction house there. We were actually thrilled to see a new source of data for our overseas customers. Dylman, Not solely eBay, we want to see the full picture. If you submit a link to one grade that is off that will cause us to look at all the grades for that book so you don't need to submit it multiple times for each grade. Just pick one grade that is off. We've seen several customers submitting links and value changes for the site thus far. This really does make us better by having members suggest changes and we can keep track of them better because they don't get lost on the forum or email. We become more accurate and your collection reflects the real selling price. win-win

11/13/2019 Topic: X-Factor #15 Double Cover Ronbatman Administrator	They grade both covers but put the grade of the inner cover on the tag in the upper left corner. The outer cover grade is in the notes below the title. Either way, it's an interesting book to have.
