It is like day trading the stock market. Proceed with caution!

Now that is a fact smile This market is going crazy right now. I'm happy to see it go up, I just wish I had bought more before it did. It's getting so crazy right now I may never get some of the older books that I wish I had in my collection. Still adding to my collection but this market has slowed down the amount of books I'm buying, drastically.

I've been thinking that for years on the Golden Age Batman and Detective I need. I may have to resign myself to the fact I won't get much better than I what I have (missing 9 Batman and 26 Detective).

First of all that's one heck of a run you have there if that's all you're missing. Second you're way too close to give up now smile Just going to have to wheel and deal as they say. I'm wondering on just how high this market is going to go. Right now it seems as if it's never going to stop climbing. I don't want it to crash but I sure wish it would at least plateau for a little while and let me catch up lol. I've never sold a comic book before but I'm starting to contemplate buying everything I come across under FMV now that I don't even care about so I can trade or sell it later to get some these books that are starting to get out of my reach.

Is this going to eventually have it's own subsection under Amazing
Spider-man vol6 like the older Giant Size have their own subsection under vol1?

Book I'm asking about:

Example of an older Giant Size being being in the actual volume of the series:

I have seen a couple of videos about it and read a few articles talking about this collection it seems as if over 90% of the collection is in extraordinary high grades topping the previous highest grades seen for some of the issues.

Just searched "lost years" Sometimes it's easier to just search a few words to help narrow down your search.

I'm not having this problem in the app on my phone or on the website via my computer. All pictures show up fine for me. I did have this problem on the my computer awhile back after a Windows update and I had to go into the browser's settings and in Fire Fox there is an option called tune up. I ran that and it fixed whatever my issue was back then.

I just checked in Chrome, Fire Fox and and Microsoft Edge and all of the pictures are showing for me. So I'm guessing the issue you all are seeing is not browser related but you may want to try and see if resetting one browser fixes them all. I know that sounds crazy but when I was having this same issue after a Windows update all of my browsers had the same problem but when I ran the tune up option in Fire Fox it fixed all of my browsers somehow. I'm guessing Fire Fox's tune up option is the same thing as the restore option in Chrome and the reset option in Edge. I know I saw on here when I was having the issue that other had a similar issue and they said they went and checked Windows Updates and made sure everything was up to date to resolve it for them.

If you go to the issue missing a variant and click on the variant tab you will see a red button that says "Report Missing Variant". If you click it you can then add any information and an image for it to help get it added to the site.

Here is the Newsstand link. I'm not sure if the ones with the Mark Jewelers insert have been added to the site as variants or not though. That would be a question for an admin but I'm guessing they will say to just report it as a missing variant under the variant's tab of that specific comic.

Great write up!! There is also a drive for Masters of the Universe #1 Gold Foil Cover from Image in 2002 due to the Invincible preview that's in it. With the Invincible show out now it seems like more and more people are causing the price to increase on it as well.

Member's ranks question

Theoldcollector
Is there a way to see the total hits on all of the items a member has submitted? I submitted quite a bit of information from UPCs, Cover Prices, Creators info and submitted some creators that were missing as well as help verify other member's submitted data. Prior to all of this I was level 4 and I just checked this morning and I'm guessing it was all approved because I don't show anything pending anymore but it didn't increase my rank. So I'm trying to see is there a way to actually see the whole hit list not just the last 10 that the member's page shows? And I guess also ask is there a way to see how close we are getting to the next level? I don't know why I care other than I look at it as an accomplishment I guess smile

Naming the Comic Book Ages

Theoldcollector
Theoldcollector
I think the ages are a bit difficult as is with golden, silver, bronze, copper, dark-modern, so the easiest thing would be going by decades. Even when it comes to the modern age if you ask one person they will tell you it started in 85-86 with Watchmen and the Dark Night type of comics coming out not in 92 with Image. But then others call that the Dark ages. The problem with coming up with a new age is there are way too many people online with their own ideas, just google" age of comics" and there are tons of pages and videos already discussing this. In my opinion though when discussing "comic ages" I don't think movies should be involved on setting the new date. I know the movies are based off of comics but we aren't giving a name to movie collections. I mean movies based on comics that were blockbuster hits were around before Blade or Marvel Studios so I don't see how that should name a comic era. If one is going to give it a name based on some kind of important shift in actual comics something like when artist's pretty much went all digital could be a start or when digital comics became readily available as someone mentioned above. This is a hard one to decide and even if you do, I image there will be a million people who disagree and come up with their own categories. The problem with the internet is now everyone has a say and getting them all to agree on something is not likely to happen smile
