Is there a way to see the total hits on all of the items a member has submitted? I submitted quite a bit of information from UPCs, Cover Prices, Creators info and submitted some creators that were missing as well as help verify other member's submitted data. Prior to all of this I was level 4 and I just checked this morning and I'm guessing it was all approved because I don't show anything pending anymore but it didn't increase my rank. So I'm trying to see is there a way to actually see the whole hit list not just the last 10 that the member's page shows? And I guess also ask is there a way to see how close we are getting to the next level? I don't know why I care other than I look at it as an accomplishment I guess smile

I was wondering the same thing. I too have input quite a bit of information, but haven't seen any movement from level 4 as well.

MEMBER RANKING
EARN FAME AND ACCOLADE AT CPG
The world of comic books is massive, and while the staff at CPG does their best to keep up with all the latest trends and reviews, we rely on our amazing members and fans to help us maintain the most accurate collection of comics and comic values in the world. Our member ranking system is our method of tracking and rewarding our most active, trustworthy, and helpful members.

  • Your Rank
  • How do Member Ranks Work?
  • How do I Submit Data?

HOW THE SCALE WORKS
As members contribute data and it gets verified, they are awarded points that are consolidated into a member rank that represents the accomplishments of that member. Rated on a scale from 9 (Comic Grand Master) to 0 (New Member), our rankings also allow users additional freedom and quicker turnaround on their reports as they earn the trust of our staff and CPG members alike.
HOW TO IMPROVE YOUR RANK
Participation and interaction with fellow members is the key to improving your rank. Completing successful sales, submitting verified book data, suggesting valuable price adjustments, and recommendations from fellow members all contribute towards rank increase.
BENEFITS OF INCREASED RANK
Members of the highest rank are our oldest and most trusted members, and have demonstrated an ability to buy and sell comics in a trustworthy fashion, and have provided valuable and accurate advice to our members and staff. When they submit information, it is approved more quickly.
There are only a certain number of each rank, so sometimes having a whole bunch of submissions isn't going to move you up in rank unless you have more points than the lowest member in the rank above you. I've actually moved down a rank one time after submitting a bunch of creators because the guy behind me submitted alot more than I did. smile You just got to keep submitting. smile

It take quite a while to move up as there are, as it was explained to me, only a certain amount of people at the different ranks. It took me over a year to move from a 5 to a 6 and even longer to get to a 7.

Makes sense. It would be nice to see the total points and hits though to see how we are doing. One of the things it says to help your rank is by completing successful sales but I don't sale comics, I collect them so hopefully that's not a must. Whaaaaa?smile

That's why it would be nice to see the total points we all have so we could see how much it would take to move up and also that's crazy on the moving down a rank lol so over time if you no longer submitted data or not as fast as someone newer you can go back to the bottom rank? It's a duel to the top gentlemen, now I have to go and find an assistant just to log data for me HAHA hopefully they will except cheesy jokes for payment because in this comic market I have no spare $$$ wink

I asked that before and I think Ron told me there was not a way to view it.

To put it in perspective:

CPG level 6 on 8/18/19
CPG level 7 on 1/3/21

And that was with submitting or approving something almost every day.

And, do we get credit for submitting stuff that no one wants to verify, either? Or does the credit come only after validation?

I submitted a "bunch:" of info on House of Mystery issues from the Adams/Wrightson years. Some of it was validated, the story summaries are just sitting out there, so does that mean I don't get "Credit" until someone else reads the issues and agrees with my synopses? In that kind of situation, I'd be better off just submitting the writing, drawing, inking, colorist credits and skipping the story summaries. There are about 4 stories in each of those issues.

There's a lot of info out there for members to collect, but some of it is "Never" going to be collected because "We're" not tasked with both submissions and validations. We're all doing the submissions, most likely, but the validations are pretty important for the rewards system in place.

That's a good question too. I have stayed away from typing any synopses just because I didn't know if there is a specific format the site wants for them. Or do they want the direct generic message the publisher puts out prior to their release that shares the basic synopses.

I'd like to see a level above 9. For example "CPG Grandmaster Level 9+"
It take so long for members who get to Grandmaster (Level 9) should be able to go one-more... It would be fun to see.

If you guys can come to an agreement on the names for each level, like Grandmaster for Level 9 I will get them changed.

I like more elaborate names as they go up. A few ideas...
