New Issues. The Charles Vess is a trade from Green Man Press, just a trade not currently listed, and the others are Hard Cover editions of "Looking For Group" from Blind Ferret publishing that are not currently listed (vol 2 & 3). |

Thanks for adding the Ballads. Now how should I add the photo of the cover? (Never mind, I just uploaded a scan on the "Ballads" page you sent a link for)
As for the Looking for Group, I don't own a hard cover for volume1, just 2 and 3 so I can't confirm the price or cover. The price on volumes 2 and 3 are both $22.95 US. These volumes were still published by Blind Ferret, the later ones you saw might be their new publisher (just blanked on who that is). edited by iron_puppy on 3/26/2017 |

Moonshot Graphic novel listed twice

I just noticed that Moonshot, a graphic novel published by AH comics, is listed two seperate times for the same book. The one has a cover scan and the other does not. I just added some info for the one with a cover figuring it would be the other one that would go. |

Artist with one name

As I've been adding creator info I found an interesting situation. Mister X by Vortex Comics (Canada) was Illustrated by an artist who only goes by Seth. That's all I've ever seen him listed as so have no idea what else to put. I added him as a creator to be verified but put Seth as both first and last as you can't leave slots blank. Not sure how this will get processed.
Also, is there a way to know when creators have been verified? I have a lot of titles to enter but when I'm waiting for the main writer or artist of a title I decided to wait rather than keep going back and I'm waiting on around eight different people, mostly from the B&W 80's era. (Jim Somerville, Peter Hsu, Kent Burles, Paul Rivoche to name a few). |

Awesome, thanks! I've heard of Palookaville but had no idea it was the same guy! I will continue my Mister X entries now...
Or not. I just went to try inputting Gragory Gallant as the artist but he is not yet listed. I checked Palookaville and there is no info there yet so he has been added to my list of Canadian creators for the CPG site. edited by iron_puppy on 4/10/2017 |

I was just entering more info for Wasteland (A great pre-vertigo horror anthology...there's my plug) and noticed that David Lloyd and George Freeman are listed with John Ostrander as writers. This is an error as they are both artists only on the book. Ostrander is the only full writer for these issues. edited by iron_puppy on 4/11/2017 |

Ok, I know the Pitiful Human Lizard title by Loo Harvest Group got added, but the photos I included in the message were not used. I forgot they were even there (the link was sent with the info, and I used them myself to make sure) when I said I would post them. That being said, I did add them, like we are supposed to, on the issue page and they were all waiting to be checked on the "help verify data" page, but now they are gone and have not been put for the issues. Was there a problem? |

Just had a look Iron Puppy, They haven't been approved yet (i've been away). BUT...The pictures you've sent may not be able to be used as they can't be cropped properly. You need to make sure the book is square within the the photo or scan otherwise i'll have to cut the edges of the book out & it would look horrible Lol.
I'll reject the photos Iron puppy, So you can re-send them so they are squarer & i'll approve them right away, Thanks. |

Canadian Whites need serious price adjustment
iron_puppy
|
I originally wrote in about this over a year ago, and I recognize it is a small niche market, but it is also the most inaccurate on the CPG site. A few months ago I read a reply to someone thta price adjustments are based on people sending in prices, so the more get sent the faster the adjustments. There is a problem with that here. Since it is estimated that only a dozen (at most) exist of the early Canadian Whties by Bell Feaures, Maple Leaf and Anglo American you are not going to get much email. To help showcase the extreme difference I have cut and paste my list of recent auction outcomes from Comiclink.com. They can all ben seen if you go to the site and under "advanced" searches fro single comics, type "Canadian" for "item description". They even have all the cover scans, which I can try to re-scan for CPG (I tried a test one and the quality wasn't very good though... suggestions?) My list has them by title, then issue followed by the CGC grade (all issues on the Comiclink auction were third party graded), then the CPG list price, then the final auction price. The blank issues are going for auction the end of may, but I didn't feel like waiting another month to get this started. My "NL" note means "not currently listed" on the CPG site. The real price jumps are for the very early Canadian Whites, the "volume 1" books and the titles with key "Canadian" heroes (Canada Jack, Nelvana, Mr. Monster, Johnny Canuck, Brok Windsor, etc.). Prices are also generally hight for Maple Leaf books (all very scarce) and Bell Features. Take a look below... can anything be done?

Ok, firstly this is volume 2 of three, but they are on the CPG listing under The Death of Captain America; One Shot. It's not a one-shot with multiple volumes. Made it a bit confusing.
Like the "Winter Soldier" I just entered this is a "Premiere" edition, but the cover is not just different word placement, but a whole different cover. It lists inside that Alex Ross did a "Variant cover" and I think this is it. Anyway, here's the rest of the info...

No completed"Database & Missing issues" in 3 weeks

As much as I enjoy sending in information to help improve the CPG site it is nice to see what we send in completed. I realize you must have limited staff to do this, but there is stuff people have sent upwards of a year ago that is still waiting. It would be nice to see all the old stuff be done before the new piles on top of it...again. Likewise the creators that I have "added" and am waiting for listing (Over a dozen by now). One of them, "Seth" which I asked how to list him, got a reply from an administrator giving me his real name, which was very helpful, only to discover that the real name wasn't listed. Since the only way to see if they have been added is to try to input them, it's irritating to find that after months they still are not there and eventually I will simply stop trying to update those comics. I understand that there is a priority in making sure all the new stuff, which never stops coming out, get onto the site, but please don't forget about those of us whose priority in the old stuff.
