I'm pretty sure it's just "Steven". Check the indicia. I don't have my copy readily available.

Steven #1 (based upon the title I used to save my scan)

Steven Comix #2 (based upon the title I used to save my scan)

I guess that i need to rename my file. There is a TPB collection of Steven also, but I can't locate my scan of that. I assume it was published by Fantagraphics. I have one or two published by Kitchen Sink, They are oversized, but maybe slightly smaller than a magazine.

MISSING BREAK-THRU #3 AND #4

Malibu break-thru was a 2 issue series, but some of the regular titles had the word "break-thru" on the cover like Sludge and Night Man. Check the indicia inside the cover to see the actual comic name.

I'm sure it sold in lower numbers. It was probably released to coincide with Halloween. It was part of a near complete DC collection I bought, so I can't really say if it was a problem for the original owner to acquire.
I know he had problems getting the Hanna Barbera treasuries that Marvel published. He got lucky and acquired some harder to find ones through Mile High Comics.

Quit trying to second guess the collectors. Focus stories on the characters and letting the stories grow organically. Let the characters encounter a few things and then logically progress with the implications of their actions. Quit trying to make everything some event. If the sales don't sustain themselves on stories that progress logically, then shut the doors and quit publishing. The writers are just lazy. The publishers are idiots. What's next? A glaucous Hulk? The Fulvous Goblin?

If Miller was signing for free and there was no line, I'd walk past his table and would not even care to strike up a conversation with him. I like the Daredevil issues when he got his start, but I credit that to the inker Janson more than I do him. Everything he writes seems to have a misogynistic angle to it. His work just doesn't interest me. I've never thought he was a great artist. I think he is great with shadow and light, but his actual line work is rather ugly.

Types of Comic Book Collectors

Defiant1
Defiant1
None of those adequately describe me.

if I'm collecting a title, I want to be a completist. I'm going for a full run of Tales to Astonish. I'm not going to buy a series if the rare/obscure ones are unobtainable.

I'm not a "married" collector. Hulk is my favorite character, but I'm not going to buy everything related to him.

My interests are diverse, but rarity and investment value take priority over clutter.

The "old man collector" category is condescending and ignorant. By the description, perhaps that is how the ignorant might categorize my
collecting. I would buy new comics today if quality issues were addressed. Comics would be cheaper if quality issues were addressed. I know that comics can't be cheaper because the minds
developing them are unknowledgeable about how to produce and market a desirable product. They are too busy trying to catch fish out of the barrel rather than casting a net into the general population. When they
do try to cast the net to get new readers, it has holes in it that you could drive a bus through. If you insult me with the old man collector tag, I'll insult you back with the word "idiot".

Calling me an investor is not entirely accurate either. There is enough product on the market that I can find products that I like that will be good investment choices. I choose to collect EC comics. They are a better
investment than collecting World's Finest. I am a completist for Tales to Astonish. That is wiser than being a completist for Rom Spaceknight. Since I'm not trying to buy every comic made, why would anyone
intentionally pay $4 for a comic that will be worth $2 in 6 months. At a minimum. I want the items I buy to retain their value. With a discerning eye, one can buy comics they like to read that have a higher
potential to retain value or escalate in value. I bought some comics for cover price in 1994. I got $90 trade credit on my duplicates towards an Amazing Fantasy #15 the same year. My cash investment on the Amazing
Fantasy #15 was $300. Depending upon the grade, online sources value the comic between $15,000 and $30,000. Yes, I was investor. I invest wisely to collect the more expensive item I want. The Amazing Fantasy #15 is
not for sale. Had I spent my $300 on Image comics in 1994, many would be worthless today. Calling someone an "Investor" implies that they only care about making money. That again is ignorant and insulting towards
anyone who truly cares about the comics they buy.

I have some interest as an artist but can't draw worth a D@#n. I had a cartoon published for two years. At one point someone wanted to fly me out to California to pitch my comic to a Southpark producer to have it animated as a cartoon. The contact person pissed me off and I abandoned pursuing it. I never met anyone in Hollywood and haven't spoken to the person in 10 years. I only draw the cartoons on rare occasions to amuse my girlfriend. 20 years have elapsed and people still remember my cartoon and remind me of it. They describe it to others and people still laugh about the concepts and characters 20 years later. For awhile. I was in contact with other artists and there was a circle of creative types sharing ideas and concepts.

All of the categories touch on me as a collector, but all are too generalized to describe me accurately.

I am going to be 100% honest.
I don't like the software here. I don't like the look and feel of it. I don't like the glitches and problems. I was logged out while making a post already. I don't like reading countless posts about people not being able to find a comic in the price guide. If the search engine is that bad... get a new one. If the tab to locate Annuals is so confusing... get rid of it and list them differently. The posts here have no meat to them. There's nothing to read and be inspired. I have no interest in listing my comics here or relying on the price guide numbers. After much consideration, I think I'm going to add the domain to my "hosts" file on my computer. That means I will be prevented from visiting even if I intentionally click on a link. Normally, that would be something I do for security reasons. In this case, I want to protect myself from regret and boredom.

Paid members can see how many other paid members own a book. So QuinnsPuddinJoker shared that Spawn #1 is owned by 2575 paid members. We don't include free members since we don't know if it's real or if they are just checking prices for a book. We have some free members who say they own every expensive book so sometimes credibility is questionable. Other free members are great members of the community that we value.

X-men #1 Gatefold cover is owned by 2249
Spider-man #1 is owned by 1804

Superman #75 is owned by 1521

As a free member, I would typically only list my expensive books. I'm not sure what I listed here, but I do own FF #1, AF #15, two X-Men #1's, Hulk #1, Two IH #181's. I don't really care to list my collection online. I have probably 10,000 comics. The process is too much work. I'm not going to grade 10,000 comics just to list them online. I might list more if "ungraded" was an option, but last I looked it wasn't. I was checking prices at this site in the late 90's if I'm remembering correctly.
