The first few seasons of Babylon 5 was the best, The rest are good, I have the Ultimate Collection (i had to get it from the UK) was hard to find for a time. Still getting through the set Lol. I did watch it back in the 90's. Would love to see it re-done today. Sadly some of those lead actors are lost to us now. |

I couldn't believe that while Arseface was listed for his first appearance in Preacher the Saint of Killers is not! I went to add him under "Story" for issue 2 (as I couldn't find a way to add him as a "fact") but realised issue 2 is his first FULL appearance with issue 1 having a cameo (I forgot that). Thought I'd pass that along before final "approval".
Done!
Just remember though...Put that kind of info in the "SYNOPSIS" not the "STORY NAME" Preacher #2 is called "And Hell followed with him!" edited by Gilgandra on 3/16/2017 edited by Gilgandra on 3/16/2017 |

Thanks. I would have prefered to put in with Arseface under facts, but it wouldn't let me. Is there going to be a way to add more than one fact?

When to replace bags and boards
Gilgandra

Good subject and agree lots of sweet advice. My deal is i can only afford the cheaper polys & boards. They work fine for me & have had no problems with them as of yet. I live in a dryer area & keep them in comic cardboard boxes. I do remember the plastic bags from the 90's that one would come across & they where icky indeed.
I recently changed all my books over from that time to fresh ones & they should be good for another 6-8 yrs.
I wish to grab some you-beaut E. Gerber bags & boards one day for my better books but till then i'll stick with the el-cheapo's |

You fell for the oldest trick in the book. Its not Superman in Action Comics #688...But simply Action Comics #688. It's a very common form of title from the old days. The title is saying that Superman is staring in the comic book called Action Comics. Read the title again to see that it says...Superman (the main protagonist) in "Action Comics" the actual name of the comic book. Here is a link to the book your looking for. http://comicspriceguide.com/collection/dc/action-comics/688/pjurov

I am also curious about buying and selling comics. i recently inherited a decent collection (about 350) and am in process of imputing them into the collection here on this site. quite amazed at the value of some, though i wouldn't want to sell the inherited books for sentimental reasons. I how however found that i really enjoy learning about the comics, especially silver aged ones.
It's addictive learning about the history of this medium. So much more out there that's going to rock your collecting world.
Have fun! |

Some old movies that recently i got on Blue-ray, Some of my favorites as a kid. More to come of some great old movies...I'll keep you posted.
Blue Thunder (1983) was great. They don't make action movies like that no-more. Huge Roy Scheider fan. The Dark Crystal (1982) is hard to watch as an adult but as a kid i loved it.

Labyrinth 1986. The Magnificent Seven 1960. The Hunt for Red October 1989.
