4/5/2021 Topic: Strange Tales 169 Theoldcollector	Figured I'd give this a shot. I've been looking for Strange Tales #169 with no luck. I have all of the other Brother Voodoo books in the Strange Tales except this one. If someone has one for sell let me know. I'm not looking to low ball anyone for it. I will pay FMV for it. I am also looking for other Strange Tales as well it's just this specific one has been harder for me to find at a decent grade.

I used to own it, but sold it long ago, took a while to sell it back then too, very surprised at CPG's 9.4 price now. oh well.. here's a google search tip to filter out sites you don't want results from if you don't know this: use "-site: " and the site url after the colon, no space (without the quotes), and if you put an asterisk after the "." in the url, it will filter out the other countries that site also uses. example: -site:ebay.* will filter out ebay and all the country specific urls too. no need for www either, or http stuff. you can list multiple sites at once, but they do have a cut-off at a certain number. if they only have 1 .com or .net etc site, use the whole url, like -site:example.com. it really helps cut down the results you DON'T want to see. good luck on the hunt. edited by collectibleshop on 4/6/2021 I snagged one of the comiclink ones. My jaw dropped when I originally saw the preview for it like "This, this right here is what your team came up with?" That whole team should be fired for this garbage lol.

4/15/2021 Topic: CGC Graded/Encapsulated prices Theoldcollector	Right now with the way prices are going you really need to research all over if you are pricing your graded books for sale. The market is rising daily on a lot of CGC/CBCS books. PGX not so much lol.

I don't have anything against PGX it just seems that CGC is running the graded market right now and CBCS is the only one even partially close to them in prices normally. Now given older stuff like ASM 9 is kinda in it's own world and doesn't have to play the CGC game lol.
4/20/2021 Topic: LCS Changing for the worst Theoldcollector	I went to one LCS here that didn't have set prices on anything in their case and like other LCSs this is where they had their keys. When I asked how much they wanted for a specific raw book in the case they said hold on let me check and proceeded to start looking at online recent sales and then gave me their price. I also noticed that books like ASM, as well as anything older in the Marvels and even Spawns were all closed in long boxes saying do not touch and it wasn't until I actually asked if they had any of these titles they would open it and once again they looked up the books online to see what they were going for before giving me my price. I fear this is what all LCS are going to start looking like in the future with the way this market is going, which is sad in my opinion. This one stuck a nerve because first of all, shouldn't you already have a price on what you have in the glass cases and this place had as many closed long boxes as they had opened for everything else. I won't give this stores name because the guy was really cool and helped me track down 5 books for me and called me later to let me know he had found them. But I also just stopped at Titan comics and while they do have a large back stock selection there are no keys or higher valued books to be seen in the store. This is one of the larger comic stores here and they have glass cases up front but only a few books like ten total in them and all of them were graded except I think one gold Venom #1. But behind the counter they had tons and tons of graded books that I'm guessing they are selling online via Ebay. It's crazy to walk in a store this size and not see any raw keys up for sale on the walls and in the cases, it's just crazy. I'm guessing they sell all of those online only as well. Sad to see LCS turning into those Ebay store fronts that popped up all over the place for awhile but that's basically what they are turning into.

Not having anything priced is just crazy though. Especially if they are displayed. They already obviously know they are keys and are worth more than the average book. It would make more sense to me to put a price on them, then adjust every week or something if they are that concerned about making a few bucks more. Ya it makes since for them to place them up for sale online as well as in store but to not even display them anymore like Titan Comics or to not have a price on them in the store is defiantly a horrible business model for the long game if you want to be a local store. If they want to be a LCS but their not going to sale keys in the store or have prices marked on books shows they would rather sale online and if that's the case why even have a store lol. Large online stores give 20%-40% off on subscription presales services, so as a comic collector there is no reason for someone like me to ever visit their store again if this is their business model.

I'm pretty sure I also read it's considered conservation and does not land in the restoration realm in accordance with CGC that is if everything said in that forum is real.
4/23/2021 Topic: Comic Info Bubble updates Theoldcollector	So I've actually came across this a few times and I forgot to ask this question. How can we update the Comic Info Bubble for a particular comic? For example on Marvel Spotlight v2 #6 the bubble just says "Starlord" That's pretty vague info since this is marked as "Origin & 1st comic book appearance of Star-Lord (Peter Jason Quill)" by CGC and others.

I was just checking online at one of the larger back issue websites and they have a Conan #23 Raw Fine for $255 you can get a CGC 9.0 for that price even in today's market lol. I just called out a youtuber for this same this kind of greed. He was selling his books on his own to his fans for well above FMV price. He's already making a better profit by saving on the fees associated with selling on sites like Ebay he was greedy enough to try and rip off his own followers and try and sell above FMV. So I gladly called him out on it in front of his followers. I understand everyone can sell what they have for whatever price they want but when it comes to an actual business to it's customers or a Youtuber ripping off his own fans, I find that poor in taste and their greed is just sad.

My kid wants them real bad right now and even #2 was already sold out at my LCS this week. But my LCS says they are going to issue the Fortnite codes in the reprints as well so the people paying crazy prices to get that code are wasting their money.
