I've been a fan of Jeehyung Lee's covers for a while now. Just something about them, you know? Well, he's got a Kickstarter going for a book all his own called GUMAA. Thought some of you might want to check it out: http://kck.st/39bUE1N I mean, look at these covers for issue 1, just gorgeous.

Think this might be what you're looking for: https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/spider-man-carnage/1_trade%20paper%20back/skqubx To find tpb issues, you need to go to the main title, then click the tab titled "Trade Paper Back". |

From what I understand there's quite the art to pressing books. Be ready to destroy a handful of books before you get the hang of the basics if you buy your own press. |

I just checked and there are 63 variants listed for this. In the title box I just entered "last ronin" and "5" for the issue number. The first three are there for sure, stopped looking after that. Or you can go to the main title page and enter an issue number to show only that issue. https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/tmnt-the-last-ronin/pktpby . Or you can go the the issue page for the main cover, then click on the "variants" tab to show all variants in the system. https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/tmnt-the-last-ronin/5/phwtlwt . With that many variants, it is possible that some got missed, but it looks pretty inclusive. |

The admins are pretty busy just adding the regular weekly books. Sometimes it can take a hot second to add variants. Users can actually submit variants themselves right from the book's page (instead of a forum post). Simply go the main cover of the issue, click the variants tab, then click the red "!Report missing variant" button in the bottom right corner. |

Missing: The Adventures of Tom Sawyer

This one has got me in the past. This title is very convoluted and confusing. The only "true" way to search for it is to not search for "classics illustrated" like every other book. There are so many variants for each issue that they each get their own main listing. For instance, this Tom Sawyer book has 15 different versions just on it's own. So for any Classics Illustrated, you need to put the story title and issue number in the name search box (so search for "tom sawyer 50" and it comes right up). |

Iron Fist 2022 Clarification

Okay, sorry up front for jumping in here, but this one has me all confused, lol. . I wanted to see what was being talked about so I plugged in "iron fist" and issue 1 and volume 4 didn't show up. So then I just did iron fist without an issue. Vol 1 has 15 issues. Vol 2 has 6 issues. Vol 3 has 7 issues. Vol 4 has 8 issues (73 - 80 -- the note says legacy numbering) Is this really a new volume? Wouldn't it be part of volume 1 then? What are issues 16-72 titled? Vol 5 will have 5 issues. There are also two Mini Series with 2 and 3 issues respectively. I guess I'm also wondering what the difference is between a Volume and Mini Series. To me, Volume 5 seems like a Mini Series since it was never meant to be ongoing. They always just planned to have 5 issues. |

But isn't this a good thing for people wanting to sell their books? More interest in a particular title and issue means they will get more for their investment. Afterall, everything is actually worthless unless (until) someone is willing to pay you for it. |

When you are in the main screen for Wolverine: Origins, there are tiny tabs just above issue #1 for "Issues" "Annual" "Hard Cover" "Trade Paper Back" The book is listed under the Hard Cover tab. |

Not all users of the site are active in the forum, but this is probably your best bet. What books are you looking for? Certain issues numbers? Certain artists? Or is it just books that catch your fancy (that might be the hardest if you can't say exactly what that is). |

Worth Getting Graded? Golden Era Barn Finds

I wouldn't necessarily grade all of them out of hand. It would be worth the time to look up each book in the price guide here. Just because it's old doesn't mean it's valuable to the mass market. How many books did you find? A dozen? A couple hundred?
CGC is good but pricey. And they seem to take forever to get your books back to you. I'm talking months here. CBCS is pretty much the only alternative to consider. Cheaper and faster turnaround, but they don't always fetch the same price at auction if you are trying to sell. |

Damn. That is one hell of a find. Just those 4 books would easily sell for $4000 - $6000 just how they are. Probably double when graded. Would love to see pics of the other ones you found. These are gorgeous!
I was looking through what you've cataloged and it looks like some of the cover pictures in the database are pretty rough. If you want to leave your mark on the world here, see if you can't grab some well lit, straight on photos, or better yet, use a scanner. Someone here can then replace the existing images with ones of your books. edited by glorkar on 7/26/2022 |

That is very helpful, I was not sure about the pressing. I was just going through the submission form, seems like screening will let them determine best pressing options. Yikes... sticker shock! I had not paid attention to the Express or Walk-Through part. It's pretty pricey to put them through the process, Wowza.
Yeah, the higher tiers are pretty pricey. But when you consider that your $2000 book will be worth $4000 after, it makes you feel a little better about it |

It looks like they got stuffed under the 2021 One-Shot listing here: https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/dc-pride/pkyqjr Probably needs to be pulled out and put in it's own listing. Or change it from "2021-Current", remove the "One-Shot" and change the numbering on last year's to #2021. edited by glorkar on 7/28/2022 |
