WHATS GOING ON WITH INCORRECT PRICING!?
RonbatmanAdministrator
|
We are constantly updating prices for the site, currently, about 150 books are on the recent value changes. https://comicspriceguide.com/value-changes/ Ask anyone, I will research any book that you think is off (too high or too low). We take that part of our job very seriously.
We looked at one of our competitors yesterday who had a key silver age book at $72,000 raw. We have the book listed at $40,000 graded. That's a huge difference. Based on the market, they are taking some heavy drugs or inflating prices to attract dreamers. There is no external data to support that number.

Upload Pictures

I can help. Go into the specific book that you want to upload a picture For example Captain America #385 There are four tabs at the middle of the page - Details, Values, variants and My collection. Click on My Collection In that tab there is a green arrow that says upload cover.
From there it's self explanatory R |

We know that people use other sites to check our prices. Heritage, Ebay, ComicLink, Mycomicshop.com are all viable options. Going to Realms is awful though. So many ads on his site and so much thievery of our site. |

We don't typically value signatures that you get from artists because of variables. Is the person alive or dead? Can it be verified? Is he or she popular right now? Ultimately it comes down to what someone is willing to pay for it. Ron |

There isn't a button that you can hit to request research but if you send me an email [email protected] I will look at each book. Pricing isn't my primary job but our philosophy is that it's everyone's job to help with pricing. It's the most important part of the site no matter how much I enjoy writing blog posts. |

Recent value changes bug?
RonbatmanAdministrator
|
Currently, we only show raw books on the value changes page. To look at a graded book you have to go into your collection. Based on the statistic from our site the vast majority of visitors are new and graded books cause confusion to new users/members. We receive questions like, "Can you grade my book?" (no) "Does graded mean in a bag and board?" (no) "How do I get my books graded?". We don't mind answering questions but we don't want to add things that confusion people either. |

how to create check lists

Look up any book you want like Conan the Barbarian #1. To the right side of the page you will see + add (to add it to your collection) and Want (to add it to your wantlist). Click that button and the heart will turn red.
To check, go to your account in the upper right corner of the site by pushing the down arrow beside your username. (after you've logged in) One of the options is want list and then view want list. It's organized by publisher. R |

What Should I Have Jim Lee Sign?
RonbatmanAdministrator
|
If you have him sign X-men #1 just understand that it won't help the value much when you go to sell it. (if you sell it) That book was extremely overproduced so it will never increase in value. Having him sign 248 is a good idea. If you have it I would have him sign a Batman book from his run there. Batman 619 He did a run on Superman too. Take a look at Superman #204. There were great X-men and Wolverine covers too. Look at Wolverine #24. His body of work is so large and he's done so many fantastic covers, that it's tough to choose. |

Ouch! I looked at Batman 138 but I've never liked that cover much. 1st Silver Age Penguin but still not a fan. I have to give you #104. That is a great dragon cover (in Batman) that I missed. Ugh.
Since you found a dragon cover that could be included in my list do you want a prize pack? Send me an email and we can talk about prize options. |

Comfan, Sojourn #10 by Greg Land is a beautiful cover. Dang it! If you want a prize pack send me an email.
Quinns, I have Batman #138 as well but not in a 9.0. That's a great book to own, especially in that condition. I like it better than #155 but it cannot really compete with modern artists. For 1961 that was some incredible art. |
