lost and confuse with underground comics

That is really a nice payment of comics! Sure those have value. There is a price guide called FOGEL'S UNDERGROUND COMIX PRICE GUIDE. Here is a nice link for you to find that book. Not sure if this is the most current guide for underground books but this will get in the right direction. Also some should be listed on this very site for values.

😀. Thank you. Talking about age and losing information known in years before, man I'm there! Not too old but old enough, 51, I find myself looking up more and more stuff on google, price guides and other publications for things I swear I knew but can't remember. I'm somewhat lucky that my daughter and her longtime boyfriend collect comics and share knowledge with me or correct what I thought is true. I had a stroke in 2015 and my mind doesn't work as it did before the stroke. Some thoughts get mixed with other thoughts and I get lost. Speaking and writing is trying at times but luckily I have a good sense of humor. Thank gosh for dictionaries and family helping me Agree that the books we grew up with in early years of collecting are priceless. I have boxes of those and read some of them every few years. When I had the stroke and had problems reading, Robbie that posts here told me to read more comics or any book to help me out. So I reread the 1990's X-Men series. |

Who's Your Favorite Cover Artist?

Nice, Jusko is fantastic. One of my favorite book that he worked on, cover and all interior painted artwork was Tomb Raider, the Greatest Treasure of All. Ok writing but the art is perfectly done by Jusko. A few month back a auction site had over 4 pages from the book but way out of my budget. My first thought was Alex Ross, enjoy most of his work but times his covers have lots of things going on that sometimes losses me. Kinda like some of George Perez's covers, with lots of characters on the cover. One choice would be Steranko. Of course Nick Fury, Agent of SHIELD covers by him rank high for me but his few covers for X-Men shine also. I like Jim Lee's art but many of his covers the characters all have the same poise, Superman and Batman covers seemed recycled. How many covers of Batman he did have him looking on a edge of a building? Alex Ross and Steranko I guess are tops for me. edited by Jokerbangedquinn on 2/17/2017 |

The Foom books are nice. I have none, but wouldn't mind the issues with Steranko in them. Don't know much about the series really but love the covers. |

New mutants 98 signature question

Are you going to sell or just keep in your collection? If keeping the book, get the guy you like the most sign. both aren't rare signatures, since Lee signs anything and everything so lots out there. Liefeld a good amount of collectors don't think much of him (writing or artist) but that issue is his crowning achievement. Me, I'd get it graded but skip the signature. |

Even the trailer looks better than batman vs superman. Well most movies are better than that.

So we all have books that we bought at cover price when the book came out to find a year or so that it is a real hot book and the selling price is now way way bigger than the cover price. so only list books that you bought new at cover price that turned into a big ticket book. Here are a few of mine I'm glad I bought.
NYX 3. Once I saw the first issue of the series I was hooked, really cool cover. So I ordered 3 of each issues in the series. So I got three copies at cover price of NYX 3.
Harley Quinn 1 Hughes variant. Got two issues of it at cover price. Just followed a auction of one and it just sold for $344. Things like this makes collecting fun for me.
How about you, list them please. |

Nice! It took me nearly five years of collecting to worry of how I handled my books. Just wanted to read the books without care. I was in 5th grade when X-Men 94 came out! |

ASM 238 & 300. Batman Vengeance of Bane. I was too late for most of the bronze age 'big' books. You would never find any X-men on the racks (I think some collector guy was buying them all up. It wasn't until 147 that they started to show regularly. Aaron
That be really nice if asm 238 came with the tattoo, did it? edited by Jokerbangedquinn on 3/13/2017 |
