Ben nope, it says BEACH instead of Besch. Copied from the title:

Rose Beach Virgin Variant
legend325's creator sub has Besch, which is correct and what caused me to see the CPG mistake. My eyes ain't that bad yet.. |

according to other sites, Vortex Comics and Vortex Publications are the same company, now called Vortex Media according to their shopify page. CPG doesn't seem to have Chaos Breaker, even using All Countries, and neither does comics.org, but they both list the same other Vortex titles.Other database sites have it tho. Plenty of places/sellers have it for sale. CPG can get the pics from Vortex's shopify page at https://vortex-comics.myshopify.com/collections/chaos-breaker .Or pics and creator credits at https://leagueofcomicgeeks.com/comics/series/154491/chaos-breaker . Series ran from 2020-2022 according to the league. it may be a while before they get added, so be patient. edited by collectibleshop on 8/25/2024 |

I'm not an admin, so can't do squat about adding a title. No real need for you to upload your pics (the upload function for 'missing scan' isn't working for most people at the moment anyway), as an admin can quickly scarf them from the places I mentioned, and fill in the creator info. According to the league, there's only 12 issues, last one was March 2022. To save them 5 seconds, Vortex Publications is here: https://comicspriceguide.com/publishers/vortex-publications . it may take days or weeks before someone will add them, they're quite busy with site updates and then fixing all the broken stuff (which isn't happening very fast), plus the normal adding of books and approving data submissions etc. edited by collectibleshop on 8/25/2024 |

sorry to say, but the pic doesn't meet CPG standards, so no real help to submit. I found a good pic and attached it for CPG to use. I tried to fix yours, but wasn't doable, and there's odd wavy lines in it too, when looked at the full size version. here's my standard blurb on pic standards: .jpg, .png, or .gif format preferred, straight on/squared up, cropped to he edges of the comic. No watermarks, no signatures, no pro-graded ones, no bagged/boarded pics unless it's a factory polybag, and try to make sure they're a published version, not a pre-production pic (like a Previews solicitation often is), as those get changed in production all the time. Best to resize them if you can to about 500x700px, but CPG can do that too. and the 'old' guidelines are in this post: https://comicspriceguide.com/forum/messages.aspx?TopicID=5 so maybe best to find good pics off the net if whatever your using makes those lines. and yes, for now you'll need to post missing variants in here till they get things fixed, which is taking a long time for some reason. edited by collectibleshop on 8/27/2024 edited by collectibleshop on 8/27/2024 |

New comics aren't listed
collectibleshop
|
to add a little more info from admin RonBatman from a ways back: "We enter roughly 400 to 500 books each week with new comics alone. Variants can be in the same range depending on what's released. Store variants are not on lists from Diamond or other distributors. This takes time and effort. Please do not submit variants to my email or the forum. Use our automated system so that some people aren't jumping to the front of the line by submitting on the forum. After submitting the scan, it will go through our approval process. We cannot make any promises as to when the variant will be added because it depends on the number of variants submitted." So note that CPG isn't sent the store exclusives and many other variants, so unless a staffer gets some, they have to wait for members who have them to submit them. Which we can't do at the moment cuz of the bugs they're hopefully working on. edited by collectibleshop on 8/27/2024 |

I'm confused why you guys are saying the report variant functionality is gone? I see it right there on the right. I think it's in a different place than it used to be, but it's there. And we are getting new variants submitted all the time, it definitely has not gone static.
we're saying it because it's not there for many of us. Doesn't show to me, and i disabled my adblock to make sure it wasn't blocking it, and it wasn't. I'm using a windows desktop and older firefox version, and have a newer version that's the last one I can use with my windows version, and the variant link doesn't show up in that either. my guess is that the ones who can see it are mac users. pgghead is able to upload missing scans using a mac, but us windows users can't, so something CPG did has messed up the functionality of many things (does the verify page trashcan icon work for anyone?), which has been going for weeks now. I looked at the source code on the Rise of the Powers of X-Men 5, and it shows the code/div for the missing variant FORM, but I don't see the link to it above that space (nothing for it below 'Issue 4' and 'variants/reprints'), or anywhere else, and I did a 'find' search for 'report' and 'variant' too, and do not see the code for the little flag and 'report missing variant.' The cursor finds no link in that area either, so not 'invisible but working' like the Attach image link on the forums posts. That's all I can tell you.
And vesteel, you can list all the variants in 1 post y'know, tho it may be more tricky edited by collectibleshop on 8/28/2024 |

New comic to add - The Sentry #1 (Rough Cut) 2005

right here: https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/sentry-the/1special/uoywbs I just searched for Sentry #1, but had to use "Any Comic Type" because it's apparently considered a 'Special', so it won't come up under the default "issue" choice. That happens often, so always try the Any type if you can't find something with the default search choices. It's also listed under the Special tab on the series results. https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/sentry-the/sbtyi edited by collectibleshop on 8/29/2024 |

Verify page functions still not all working
collectibleshop

noticed the new 'look' on the verify page, so tested things. I STILL can't delete a yup/nope sub of mine, but the trashcan icon 'works', in that it now brings up the 'you wanna do this?' panel, but clicking the 'remove' button just makes it spin forever. tried it on the Patra 1 cover (it's correct tho), and then other yups, just hangs forever. Have asked Glorkar if it works for him or not, since he uses an up to date OS and browser. the yup/nope buttons on the Cover section are tiny and you can't see the yup/nope text (pic attached), but they work. And while the attached pics shows it AFTER I yupped it, the Y/N buttons were the same size before I yupped it (no other covers to try it on at the moment). On the other categories, the unclicked Y/N buttons show the text better, and when you use one, then they look like the cover section buttons, so looks like the settings for the Cover Y/N's have the wrong 'view' or action code. They were also better with the background being red & green too, in my opinion, not sure why that was changed. good news is that I like the bolded creator names/jobs. The Report Missing Variant link is now showing too, as noted in another forum post.
but how about the rest of the bugs noted in this thread: https://comicspriceguide.com/forum/messages.aspx?TopicID=19703 ? hopefully being tackled soon...
update: new covers are up today, and the Yup/nope buttons are showing at the normal size now. maybe yesterday was a fluke. still can't delete a vote tho, and I've let the thing run for 30+ seconds and more. also deleted cookies etc, had no effect. edited by collectibleshop on 8/31/2024 |

you did ask this way back in may. in the future you can do a search on the comic or go to your forum profile, and find the post and reply to it, and it will go to the top of the forum again, instead of making a new post. CPG has it as cover H. Now that the Report Missing Variant link is showing again, I got it submitted, so now to wait for approval. The 'Missing Scan' function still doesn't work tho, but at least if something is a variant, it can be submitted now. it's also helpful and speeds things up to attach a pic or link to one, and say who the cover artist is or the store name if an exclusive, makes things way easier to find. some day it will be here: https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/vampirella/666H/pitpnpv edited by collectibleshop on 8/31/2024 |

edited by vesteel on 8/30/2024 the Report Missing Variant button even works for me, yay. I'd say go ahead and use that to submit yours now, as they haven't been added and it'll probably go quicker getting them in line. |

I'm not an admin, but probably can tell you the answer, although unsure of just where you want your contribution recognized? if you mean on an issue's listing where it says "Members who have contributed information on this page," you don't get credit for pointing out a mistake, you only get credit for submitting data thru the system, like covers, prices, publishing dates, and creators. And this isn't really the forum for this question, as this forum is for tech probs with the site. Probably best posted on Questions/Answers forum, https://comicspriceguide.com/forum/topics.aspx?ForumID=14 , or do a followup post to your original Misery post, but an admin may not see that for a while, since it's been 'solved'. Cue the Rolling Stones 'You can't always get what you wa-ant'. edited by collectibleshop on 8/31/2024 |

Mycomicshop says it was published June 2024, so not too new, so likely CPG was not sent a copy. It would be under a TPB tab here if they had it/add it: https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/cobra-commander/phvumu Info for them: Writer Joshua Williamson artist and cover artist Andrea Milana Colorist Annalisa Leoni letterer: Rus Wooton cvr price: $14.99. 120 pages. that's right, it's not there. As I said, that's where it SHOULD be IF it was listed. You can try using the Report Missing Issue function and see if it lets you submit it. the Comic Type dropdown in the popup form does have a TPB choice, so even tho there's no TPBs listed yet, it may let you submit it. You can only submit 1 version tho, you'll have to wait till that's listed before you could submit the variant cover as a missing variant. and this thread should be on the Database and Missing Issues forum, as it's about a missing issue, even if a new one. Good luck, no telling what will or won't work till you try it. |

if you go to the listing and click the variants tab and scroll to the bottom, you should see your submission noted. only you can see that. always best to post a link to the book too. https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/super-dinosaur-image-firsts/1/xnxucx and you can't paste pics in a post. you can attach computer file pics with the currently invisible Attach image link to the left of the Preview link at the bottom of the compose window, your cursor will find it. click that and the rest of the form will show. one of these years they'll fix that link I hope. |
