Need Help with XMen #1 Covers Signed by Jim Lee

Not that it is a full comic book that is signed, but only a cover I would just look up on eBay to see what comics that he signed and see what people are trying to sell for. Then find a happy medium price that you are happy with. If it doesn't sell with one price move it lower and see if anyone bites.
Really my thought is many sellers that sells books with signatures normally ask a crazy amount depending who signed the book. Some signatures, like yours are desirable since Lee has a good following. I'd look at eBay and use advance search and look up books that Lee signed and search for completed auctions to get a feel what his stuff sells.
Really you have a lot of options to get a idea of price. Just need to take some time looking. Looking what is in auctions currently with books he signed, I'd have a starting bid of $50 to start. Maybe that could get someone to bid. Nitch collectible really. Good luck.

Did you read the indicia to find the actual title of the book to look up on this guide? The book you are looking for is just titled Spider-man. Series started in 1990. If you looked more than a minute you would of found it here on this link. Hope this helps you. Looks like your gold cover is a Walmart edition. See link.

I've bagged them without boarding them!

Boarding comics is just a good idea in keeping the book from getting handling problems like kinks, dings and other condition issues. Boarding books is just a sound investment in keeping books looking nice. Picking up books that are just in a bag no matter how hard you try not to damage, stuff can happen.

And it hardly comes up in auctions since I've been looking for one. Of course I could only afford a low low grade.
A book I actually own that I really like the cover art is Nick Fury, Agent of Shield #1. A trippy cover straight from the late 60's.

Like Wolverine 145 cover? Can't think of many that are worth much or are a key book.

If I owned the book listed, I'd sell it fast as I can. it is most likely as hot as it ever will be. Even if it is a limited print run doesn't make it a "key" book. Grimm books I've read aren't that interesting. Sell it and get your money while you can. Of course if you like it enough keep it.

How much is this worth?

It is worth what someone is willing to pay...😉.. not knowing anything of underground comics if I was selling I'd set the opening bid at $200. If no bids, I'd drop it to $175 then to $150 and so on. Perhaps you might want to ask this question in the UNDERGROUND section in the forum.

I'm still surprised Tex is a no show. A positive and fun loving person that everyone enjoyed hearing from him. David is missed.
Yes you are right, Mitz got his collection robbed before the site crash and faded away soon after posting the bad news. He had a good amount of Golden Age books, his 10 cent book finds were cool to hear about. To be honest if my collection was stolen, I'd be crushed and not sure I would want to continue collecting. Just think how much it would cost to re-buy books from his collection...

Atlas, I only have a few. Did you collect the newest Atlas books few years back, like Grimm Ghost, Ironjaw and Wulf the Barbarian? Seemed like Tex and others really liked the new stories. I think Atlas is finished now after a few years and a law suit. Not sure if someone bought the properties or rights.

Try this link below. I used the search using the word X-Men, then typed in 18 in the issue number area, then scrolled done and BAM!!! There it was!

Hope this helps you.

The problem is that the series changed names around #142. The guide lists it under Uncanny X-Men even though the correct name for issue #18 does not include the word "Uncanny".

X-Men changed to Uncanny X-Men on issue 114, in October 1978. But as you said, looking at the indicia it did take till issue 142, in February 1981, for Marvel to change the indicia to UNCANNY X-MEN.
Looking up a issue for X-Men or Uncanny X-Men really doesn't take much time finding the issue you are looking for. If I can find it in less than 2 minutes...anyone can, I'm slow and a simpleton. You just need to take more than one try to find it sometimes. Have no luck, Gil will find it, the man can find almost anything here.

True and yes I agree with you. I will say some new and even a small amount of old collectors don't know about the indicia, I can understand that, it took me a book that the cover title and the indicia being different to understand the importance of the indicia.
By saying look at the indicia hopefully a poster will find what a indicia is and use it. Confusing someone is not what I was trying for. Saying use the indicia will get results if not don't use by "modifying" your search, like you do, can get results.
Try yourself to look up the issue the original post ask to find. Did you have a problem finding it? I doubt it. People that don't take a short time to find a book, instead of hoping for a instant find, they give up to easily. I will say at times on this site you search for a book and zero finds come up. That happens.
Collectors like you have a wealth of knowledge for everyone that come to this forum to learn from. I just tried to help, that is all. From all of your posts I know I'm less than you in collecting and knowledge but I try. I'll keep coming back to learn from people like you.
