whilst adding cover prices I saw that https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/world-around-us-the/17/sjqvmv has the actual cover price of .25 covered by a .39 store sticker. so attached a better pic to replace it with. then someone can submit the .25 price so it will get yupped.

attached pics of the B and C foil. the B pic should not have been approved, it's not cropped, and still in the bag, dunno how that stuff gets by people. so you can copy and submit the foil one if you want, and an admin can replace the B pic.

just so you know, CPG doesn't like links to the 'realm', as it's competition. not sure why the 1st series isn't listed here, but here's the pics/info page at comics.org for it: https://www.comics.org/series/27168/ . that's a better place to link to, plus, some of the realms pics are not production pics, but pre-production (no UPC box).

On CPG's issue #2a of the newer series, the pic shouldn't have been approved, it needs cropping and is in a bag. so attached a better pic of it. https://www.comicspriceguide.com/titles/looking-for-group/2A/pjuvhsu . comics.org doesn't have any pics of that series for some reason, so got it off gmart.

also submitted a pic for #9, and some missing prices.

VARIANTS get handled a bit differently. they usually have to be vetted by a CPG employee, if you used the 'report missing variant' function. they won't show on the Verify Data page then. If you used the 'missing scan' function, then they usually show on the Verify page. I was up late last night verifying stuff, plus during the day, and I didn't see any Quested cover submissions. You can go to the title and click in the ones you submitted and below the listing it will show you what you submitted, IF they weren't removed for whatever reason already, but they're not usually that fast.
pics need to be under 5 mb, which is huge, and .jpg format is best but they do take .png too.
so check out what an issue shows below it's listing and see if your submission is there, awaiting approval, which can take a while.

New Back Issues

The answer to your question is no, shops can't order back issues from the last 5 years from a distributor at least. they have to rely on buying from collectors, or at shows or other mail-order sellers. they can maybe buy some from some publishers, but most won't keep stock that long. years ago Marvel and then DC I think, started to 'produce to number ordered' with very little overrun done for replacing damaged copies, so shops either had to over order more, which cost $ they maybe couldn't afford to use in case they couldn't move the extra stock very quickly, or people who didn't have pre-orders missed out if they waited too long after new-comic-day to hit the shop. so it got tricky to even get new back issues THAT WEEK from the distributor, if they happen to have any from cancelled orders. Not sure how many other publishers did that. second printings were also stopped in some cases, or more limited production. seems these days tho, they keep doing multiple printings for about anything.

dunno what the deal is these days, and publishers have switched to different distribution methods and companies, but Lokyel could tell you. but with regular comics hitting $4-$6 cover prices, plus 1,000 variants a week, shops can't afford to order many extras. so even new back issues can be hard to get. but 'last 5 years'? Nope. that's secondary market stuff.

Missing Issues

they have all those issues of course. Spider-Man has a hyphen in, like it shows on the cover and inside for the publishing info, so correct spelling makes all the difference.

Sensational is here, all issues are listed: https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/sensational-spider-man/riqr
Untold Tales: https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/untold-tales-of-spider-man/rosw
same for 1990 Spider-Man series.
Marvel Tales does NOT include Spider-Man in the title, it's just Marvel Tales. Not sure where you're getting the 1996 from, #125 is 1981 and that volume ended in 1995. #125 is here: https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/marvel-tales/125B/yoysh
Secret Defenders 1 is here: https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/secret-defenders/1/pkyubtu . sometimes using 'the', even tho that's on the cover, doesn't work, so always try fewer keywords and drop stuff like the, and, vs etc., if you can't get results.
Nick Fury, Agent of SHIELD is spelled S.H.I.E.L.D., but the other 2 series come up using the SHIELD spelling, so this one needs to be indexed for that spelling too. It's here: https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/nick-fury-agent-of-shield/rkrw
you're gonna need these, so see this thread for my search tips (4th post down): https://comicspriceguide.com/forum/messages.aspx?TopicID=12110

interesting. just because I didn't see them on the verify page of course doesn't mean they weren't there before I looked. the image physical size is large (400 by 600px is big enough), but the file size is ok. where did you get the pics? cuz your submission for Xena 1G won't fly because it has a mycomicshop watermark, so go delete that and beat the nopes. can't use pics from MCS or any with watermarks. comics.org doesn't have the red foil one. sometimes an admin will delete submissions and not tell you, so guessing that's what happened.
attached a clean pic of Xena you can copy and resubmit. no thanks, needed, wait till you get my bill smile

I got them from League of Comic Geeks, and I just clicked through some of them and there are no water marks on them.

Hoping an admin responds sometime in the next few days, if not I'll just try again I guess?

you're welcome. the League often has pre-production pics too, but usually on newer releases, but I've been noped on some of theirs cuz they weren't production pics. and sometimes when there's no prices or UPC boxes on the front on production copies, and you think the pre-production one is the same, you discover that maybe the title is a different color/shade, or background, or has different placement of the title or other elements that are subtle, so easy to miss. I know I have a few times, and get noped. art directors make it hard sometimes...

UPC number wrong

not sure what you mean by the blue letters, unless you mean a hyperlink to the issue? if that UPC is for the 1st print regular cover, it's here: https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/birthright/1/pjrucry

that one has 00112 at the end which normally (I think) would note a second print by the '2', but the 2nd print doesn't have the UPC filled in, so I'm not sure. so the 1st should normally be 00111 like you posted.

just copy a URL and paste it in a post, it will automatically hyperlink so the admins can get to it quicker.

Hey,
when a series is listed, you can use the Report Missing Issue link at the bottom of the right column under the green Create New Box button. you'll get a popup form that you can fill in all info the and pics if you have them. CPG says this gets them in the admin queue faster.

UK price stuff is under UK in the Country drop down menu, or if you used the default US choice, there's the alternate publisher/country versions links right there below the title in the results.

and note to CPG admin, I just looked at the list of UK Uncanny X-Men, and all of them have .20 cents as the price instead of the usual sub-note about being '20p UK variant.' They're not .20 US price. https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/uncanny-x-men/pkuyjp

Nope. This has been asked a few times too. You can make your own list and keep checking the issues a couple times a week.
thunderize1 wrote:
also how are we notified that they were added?
You're not notified, so as noted, you just have to make a list and look them up yourself later on. they could maybe set up some auto-notify procedure, but they're busy enough with normal operations and more important improvements, but maybe someday...

Image United Preview pics

whilst doing verify stuff I noticed that both pics of the Image United #0 preview issues from Baltimore comic con and SDCC were signed by multiple people. https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/image-united/0/wltsky

so attached unsigned copies here.
also, I don't think the preview copies are the same as #0 near as I can tell, but #0B is with them as 'regular edition'. Comics.org and mycomicshop and another database site list just the one #0 (0B) with the series and not as a preview edition. The previews are previews, and the #0 is a full edition that just precedes the #1. So unless the indicia says otherwise, there's only one #0, and 2 unnumbered preview comic con editions.

Hi,
You posted this twice, so you can remove one.
tips: it really helps if you can find and attach or link to a pic of the issue. No watermarked or pro-graded copies. if you own it and can scan it and crop it to the edges and size it around 400px-600px that's even more helpful. Post a link to the series on CPG, as many times there's multiple series even from the same publisher, it saves admins a few seconds. as in https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/frank-frazettas-death-dealer/phqvnu

You can submit missing issues on the series' page with the 'Report Missing Issue' text link at the bottom of the right hand column, below the green 'Create New Box' button.
I found 5 covers to #15, so attached those below, so anyone can copy and submit them, so you don't need to scan one or hunt them down this time. Someone else can go find the covers to #14 and submit those too.

Why are Variant issues taking so long to process. I can't put my books away until they are on the database. The stack is getting bigger and bigger.

this has been asked and answered many times. also, this is not the right forum for this question, this forum is for technical problems with the site.
notes from admin Ronbatman from one of the multiple posts about this: "We enter roughly 400 to 500 books each week with new comics alone. Variants can be in the same range depending on what's released. Store variants are not on lists from Diamond or other distributors. This takes time and effort.... We receive hundreds of variant covers every month. Single issues can have 100 variants and everything is manually added to the site."

read this post about variant approval time: https://comicspriceguide.com/forum/messages.aspx?TopicID=17986#post40567
also from Ronbatman: "This is how we currently run our business.
Employees work on critical items as we have determined them.
Price Updates - Programming - New Books - Social Media - Forum
Admins work on things that members cannot do and employees don't have time to do.
Approving Variants - Approving Creators - Approving Stories - Forums
Members work on: Approving Missing scans - Publishing dates - cover prices - UPC - missing issues"
it's a matter of manpower and number of submissions and number of weekly issues they get sent to them. you just have to wait.

please post the CPG links to the comics in question in the future, it helps everyone check things faster. https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/broken-trinity/3D/wnuymw
from what I can find out, this is a Fantastic Realms exclusive that was handed out AT Wizard World Texas, so the listing is correct. Found several places/forums that mention that, but the only 2 sellers on ebay of course don't say. but it stands to reason that if the 3C was an F.R. exclusive and distributed at WWTX, then this virgin variant was too. CPG just isn't listing the company name Fantastic Realms, but they can and should add that so it gets in the Store Exclusives database list too. A forum on comiccollectorlive from a store had it listed back then and said it was being done for the convention, and a few posts later they were sold out of it. another site in the UK says the same thing: https://www.heroesassemble.com/broken-trinity-3-fantastic-realm-wizard-world-texas-wwt-e-bas-virgin-variant-witchblade-comic-book-7297-p.asp
