I was curious how often New or Variant covers get updated on the site? I have some Lady Death and BRZRKR covers that are not in the system as of yet and I've had them for months now and still no cover options to add into my collection. Also, how does the site determine pricing? I have 1 specific issue that has no pricing, but it took a couple years to add the cover as it was. Thank you to anyone who may be able to help with these questions.

Hi there. If you haven't already, you should submit any variants via the quick button option from the main (parent) issue. Go to the variant tab, click the red button, and give a little information, a link is awesome as well as an image, if possible. The more information you are able to provide the better.
They go to a giant research queue and admins take and work them in a variety of ways, but the ones with the most detail usually get quicker attention. If I have to put my Nancy Drew hat on, while incredibly satisfying to resolve, these little info/vague submissions can really slow down the overall process.
There are a variety of ways value is assessed and generated by the magic algorithm. I'll let someone else provide whatever detail is appropriate.
If there are entries missing a cover, and you have one, posting here in the forums under the Database Issues forum can help. Also, if the cover is just missing, you can upload a scan of the issue yourself and your peers will approve the submission. Cover submissions are generally resolved same/next day.
I hope some of this helps, David

We receive hundreds of variant covers every month. Single issues can have 100 variants and everything is manually added to the site. Issues with no pricing are worked on individually as well. One of our admins recently spent weeks adding values to over 3000 issues with no values.
Pricing on the site is a mix of several sites sales data and there is a mix of set pricing structures and individual pricing. Take a look at Amazing Spider-man 40. The raw 9.4 is $938 and the graded is $3600 which is approximately 4 times the value.
However, issue 41 has less of a difference The raw 9.4 is $1800 and the graded is $5300 which is less than 3 times the value
ASM 44 is even more dramatic The raw 9.4 is $400 and the graded is $2800 which is 7 times the value!
I hope that helps, Ron
