We can only pray it never does.

Back to odd stuff, Tales Calculated to Drive You Bats #1 (Nov 1961). Horror/Humor mix. Not that funny.

Ability to export "My Comic Collection"?

So you can't save/print your entire collection unless you do it for each individual publisher and combine the files, or put all of your comics into one box?

Seriously, these are hysterical. 1980s culture + 1980s computer technology from November 1984.
My first computer was a TRS-80 in high school. (But I didn't fight crime.)
Dick Ayers and Chick Stone.

A List of Features We'd Like to See at CPG...

I agree with kds_comics: "1) Several folks have mentioned they would like to export all inventory to one file. That would be near top of list."

I agree with expander: "Loading and scrolling through my collection is more of a hassle even when using the mobile settings on my device."

In the comic section, when you're in the Cover Art Gallery tab, and you click on one to bring up a big picture of it, you used to be able to arrow through them all. I'd like to see that again.

I have always loved this cover. The body poses of both Thor and Surfer are perfect. When I think of classic covers, I think of this one.
Silver Surfer #4, February 1969.
(Sadly, it has a pretty good-sized spine split.)

Amazing Spiderman #6 - Help with grading, please.

Marker like that's a pretty serious hurt to the grade. Pen wouldn't have been so bad. From what I know (which is not much) marker of that size is around the 4.0 (Very Good) area. Some say even lower. But the book looks in really nice shape aside from that and the b/c tear.

Note: Pictures from a camera are nice, but scans are awesome. We love scans. You can get a new All-In-One Printer/Scanner for $50.

Opinion: Even with that marker mark and b/c tear, I'd say get it CBCS graded. It's an ASM #6.

No doubt that is a cool cover.

I should start a topic just for "What are the most iconic covers?". I also love Batman #251 and Secret Wars #10.

Punch Comics #12 I'd love to own. Great skull cover.

I had to look that one up. It's creepy, classic, creative, and beautiful - all at the same time!

Aside from the physical protection boards offer, if you get high quality alkaline buffered acid-free boards (I use E-Gerber's), they protect the paper against acidity damage. If you use those boards with Mylar bags (again, I use E-Gerber) - you're "Archival" status. It's what museums and the Government use to protect paper. Protection for longer than 100 years. You never have to change/rebag your comics.

Some covers just "have it". That eye-grabbing appeal that we remember for all time. The ones you can just look at over and over. The ones you feel should be hanging in the Louvre.
What's yours?

One of mine is Detective Comics #31 by Bob Kane in 1939.

I fell in love with this as a little kid. Bad guy's making off with his victim... he's a mystery... can't see who he is... out in the middle of nowhere near a castle... the rocks... the moon... the fog around it all... AND THE BATMAN in the background - watching!

ICONIC:
Silver Surfer #4. The body position of both Thor and SS. Their facial expressions. The "speed lines" from SS. The contrast of them and the Rainbow Bridge to the black & purple space background.

DC's humorous answer to Marvel's most fantastic superhero family... Inferior Five #1 from March 1967.
(Seriously - not that funny. The Tick has more sophisticated humor.)

I didn't even know they re-did Turok in that era. I've never seen that cover before.

With the SW DE one, I think I might've seen it before. The original one is pretty iconic (forgiving the green Darth Vader helmet which was pretty *infamous*, and the red lightsabers).

Definition of iconic: Widely recognized and well-established or acknowledged, especially for distinctive excellence.

Anyone remember or collect Atlas comics?
Tigerman #1 - April 1975.
The mid-70s Atlas titles all went like only 3 or 4 issues.

Gold and Silver age keys sell regardless of condition. The demand is always there.

And I sometimes buy a low-grade "reader" copy that I already have a high-grade copy of (which I don't want to risk handling). Or I'll buy the low-grade one first, knowing that I'll be getting a high-grade copy later.
