Plastic or waterproof comic storage boxes

THIS IS JUST MY OPINION...

NOTE - If you add title dividers, 11 inches interior height is too short.

Who says corrugated plastic does not count? Picky, picky... plastic is plastic
last I investigated it.

Get yourself a file folder container and turn the comics sideways.

Or just put up with extra interior space if you buy one
that is not made for comics.

Or use BCW corrugated plastic.

Or go to a plastic manufacturer and build you own...

As I mentioned, just my opinion.

Thanks for the kind words.

In the past I have had a larger in number comic in my collection - but I am deliberately
trying to keep it down. Caulk it up to old age, laziness and other priorities.

In fact I am actively trying to sell some for a reasonable price.

Any takers? Maybe I can get to fewer but cooler comics...

Ranger Trails #16 early Canadian Comic in Colour

I am pretty good at finding comics online - this one is very difficult to find.
It is catalogued by the Grand Comic database as series from 1950 - Canada -issues #15 through #22
http://www.comics.org/
Sorry - no picture or description of #16, so not a big help.
Here's Issue #22 if that helps

Do you have a picture you could share or more information on the indica?
Thanks

Hello all!
Long time collector here at CPG, occasional seller, and all around purveyor of common sense.

My philosophy...life is too short not to have some cool stuff!

I try not to post items that are too fresh. It may seem like bragging – just a humble kind of guy. I like to let them sit for a while.

About me –
What’s up with KDS? It’s not kids…

It’s not a kid like a baby goat kid either….

\

And it’s not KD either…

Just an ordinary guy – who like to joke around and get ridiculously
cheap prices for cool stuff.

More posts soon – this time – comic related – I promise

I agree with Capn Doug - probably the best to buy at local comic shop. You can get better deals mail order - but only if you buy mass quantities. I do have a local used bookstore with new supplies - they are a little less expensive. You might try bookstores in your area.

Assuming the interior is good (off white) with no rips or tears I'd give it a 3.5. Just becasue of chips on the cover. Great color though.

I'm done lots of deals here with no problem so does anyone else have this problem?

It is all about risk/reward. If I have not bought any comics from you - I do not know how you will grade. How do I really know if you have the comic at all? There are scam artists on the (dang ole) internet. They ruin it for us more trustworthy folks.
So I may buy a few bucks of comics - but I ain't sending you $300. Just saying.

KDS Back Issues: The Unusual, The Weird, The Cool!

What should I start my rant with? Weird, unusual or cool?

Let’s go for cool. Yeah, that’s it…

This is the only ā€œLand of the Giants" (issue #5) comic book I have ever seen.
The comic book is based on the 1960’s television show. It goes
something like this…

The Spindrift, a sub-oribital spaceship on a flight from Los
Angeles to London, became lost when it passed through a strange cloud in the
ship's orbit around Earth. It landed on an alternate Earth-type planet, where
the inhabitants were roughly twelve times the size of the Spindrift's
passengers. Our heroes include the ship's captain (Steve Burton), co-pilot
(Dan) and stewardess (Betty); an arrogant engineer (Mark); a sexy jet-setter
(Valerie); a young boy (Barry) and his dog Chipper; and a mysterious rogue
known as Commander Fitzhugh. Together they battle the planet's totalitarian
government, try to avoid capture, and attempt to repair the Spindrift so they
can get back home.

Photo cover…don’t forget the dog – 1960’s TV shows almost always had a
dog

And the space Ship was orange! I wonder if it inspired the color for the space shuttle main fuel tank?
Coincidence? I think not…

See my - first rant - cool and educational too... feel free to comment.

What???!!! Not exactly sure what you are asking.
Check here for more information on Spider-Man #1 by McFarlane that you probably want to know.

The real reason they used different color comics - want to know the secret - it was TO MAKE MONEY.

You might also list them as a set here at CPG classifieds for a reasonable percent off Guide price - depending on what you have a collector might be interested. May not get top value but better than your local comic delaer who will buy for wholesale.

Here's one I picked up a while ago. Probably overpaid for it
too.

The Panther will get you of you don't watch out! Classic
Stan Lee writing similar characters into more than one comics - only the Panther
is a Western villain of Two Gun Kid. What the?

Nice book - grades out at about a 7.0 Fine/Very Fine.

What do you think?

What do I do with a Limited collector's set?

kds_comics
kds_comics
They are asking $6 for the set of five comics with cards on Amazon. Reailty Check - this is $1 per comic. It is likely a decent sized local comic shop and they would have all of these "Return of Superman" comics for $1 each. They probably printed 200,00 to 300,000 copies of each issue - not exatly rare. I'd check quantity of issues published on the web - but really can't get interested enough. He died, he's back. It was a decent story by Ordway and others at the time - but that time was 23 years ago. Long enough ago to be old, not long enough to be collectaible.
If you want to keep as a set, you could pick up the individual issues easily elsewhere to read the story. Your choice.
I picked up Adv of Superman #500 myself for a friend to read who was interested in the story - Will sell for $1 plus shipping. PM me here.

There was a long line of Boris Karloff comics mostly from Whitman. It appears this is intentional, not a printing error. Check the picture here. http://comicspriceguide.com/collection/western-gold-keywhitman/boris-karloff-tales-of-mystery-gold-keywhitma/76A/wopulx .
It does look like Whitman is spelled backwards if you zoom in. Correct me if I am wrong.

Also not listed as a mis-print here.

Here are a couple of cool Detective comics I picked up a
while ago.

I overpaid for these, but that does not make them any less
cool.

Here’s the way comics used to grab your attention back in
the day – without sex or violence! Imagine that!

Nobody
Leaves!

Okay, there was violence, - but it took place previously and
not shown.

(Yeah, offstage like in Shakespeare! Anyone ever heard of
that guy? Anyone but me know their classics?
Anyone at all ??? Anyway, he a was pretty good writer…)

There is a backup story of Jason
Bard, hardboiled detective.

(Not to be confused with all the
detective shows on TV at the time. Riiiiggghhht )

Here’s another one…

Careful Batman that guy (or girl?) in the mist might be
looking to do you harm!

Anyway enjoy, and leave your comment here….

Looking for Web Shop Cart / Inventory Management

kds_comics
kds_comics
Hello all
For some time now I have been selling comics via CPG. Great site for inventory management - and list of sales price and what I purchaesed the comic for.
My complaint to CPG folks is that in downloading a list of my comics from CPG, the list is not web ready.
I would need to spend extensive time and effor tto edit file for each publisher, elimate my "buy" price, etc..transfer the information to another program other than Excel, the turn into a web page. So far this is way more work thatn I am willing to do.
Would like a way to export from CPG and idrectly inmport to inventory management program / web page program tied to quick books. or some other cost program.
Yes, investigating going to comic shows, but I don't want to be the guy to show up and say - dig through - all $1 or all $2. These folks are lazy. I like to do extra work for custmers in grading and more precise pricing.
Am I carzy - or is there a better way to export from CPG and import into a bar code or some other type of inventory program?
The bigger stores do this - but I am too small right now - looking for a cheap solution.
Suggestions?
