Hello all!
Long time collector here at CPG, occasional seller, and all around purveyor of common sense.

My philosophy...life is too short not to have some cool stuff!

I try not to post items that are too fresh. It may seem like bragging – just a humble kind of guy. I like to let them sit for a while.

About me –
What’s up with KDS? It’s not kids…

It’s not a kid like a baby goat kid either….

\

And it’s not KD either…

Just an ordinary guy – who like to joke around and get ridiculously
cheap prices for cool stuff.

More posts soon – this time – comic related – I promise

What should I start my rant with? Weird, unusual or cool?

Let’s go for cool. Yeah, that’s it…

This is the only “Land of the Giants" (issue #5) comic book I have ever seen.
The comic book is based on the 1960’s television show. It goes
something like this…

The Spindrift, a sub-oribital spaceship on a flight from Los
Angeles to London, became lost when it passed through a strange cloud in the
ship's orbit around Earth. It landed on an alternate Earth-type planet, where
the inhabitants were roughly twelve times the size of the Spindrift's
passengers. Our heroes include the ship's captain (Steve Burton), co-pilot
(Dan) and stewardess (Betty); an arrogant engineer (Mark); a sexy jet-setter
(Valerie); a young boy (Barry) and his dog Chipper; and a mysterious rogue
known as Commander Fitzhugh. Together they battle the planet's totalitarian
government, try to avoid capture, and attempt to repair the Spindrift so they
can get back home.

Photo cover…don’t forget the dog – 1960’s TV shows almost always had a
dog

And the space Ship was orange! I wonder if it inspired the color for the space shuttle main fuel tank?
Coincidence? I think not…

See my - first rant - cool and educational too... feel free to comment.

Here's one I picked up a while ago. Probably overpaid for it
too.

The Panther will get you of you don't watch out! Classic
Stan Lee writing similar characters into more than one comics - only the Panther
is a Western villain of Two Gun Kid. What the?

Nice book - grades out at about a 7.0 Fine/Very Fine.

What do you think?

It's always cool to see those prototype characters. And pretty great condition for a 12 cent issue.

Here are a couple of cool Detective comics I picked up a
while ago.

I overpaid for these, but that does not make them any less
cool.

Here’s the way comics used to grab your attention back in
the day – without sex or violence! Imagine that!

Nobody
Leaves!

Okay, there was violence, - but it took place previously and
not shown.

(Yeah, offstage like in Shakespeare! Anyone ever heard of
that guy? Anyone but me know their classics?
Anyone at all ??? Anyway, he a was pretty good writer…)

There is a backup story of Jason
Bard, hardboiled detective.

(Not to be confused with all the
detective shows on TV at the time. Riiiiggghhht )

Here’s another one…

Careful Batman that guy (or girl?) in the mist might be
looking to do you harm!

Anyway enjoy, and leave your comment here….

Orange is hard to hide. Makes it easier to find the pieces later. The TV show wanted people to see the ship. Same, but different motivation smile

I'm still missing most of the Land of the Giants.

20 cent batbooks are awesome.

Here are a few more covers for your viewing enjoyment

1) Compliment to Two Gun Kid above - Two Gun Kid #78 The Kid
meets Jesse James! Jesse just out-shot the kid - what now?

Classic Fantastic Four #147 - guess who gets a fist in the face first?
Does it really matter?

How about a Charlton Hero - Here's a Judo Master #91 I
picked up a while ago? Fold looks worse than it is. So who would win? Judo Master or
Marvel's Shang Chi? Something to contemplate during your break time. Don't
think too deeply, their fictional. Hey, they both wear red and yellow! Wish I had pajamas that looked like that!
BTW - classic cover on that MOKF - Just like work every day...

Here's one I picked up somewhere that needs no introduction. Love those crazy arms...

To always leave with a funny book, here's a rare pick for below market value -
Bob Hope # 91. Small fold on cover - not torn off, just a fold in the scan.
A little rough but hard to find in any readable condition.
Still classic cool after all these years. And no Bing to steal the babe...

That's all for this week.. Hope your Easter was blessed.

Just out of curiosity -Why would you hate Bob Hope? Bing Crosby usually got the girl. (Going waaaaayyy back).

Judo Master is from 1967 or 1968 I think - anyone correct me if I am wrong. Odd thing was he had blond hair and blue eyes - sort of a blond Batman style western fighter studying the far east.

Yes I am having a challange with the new system.
Forum scripting seems to have changed - previoulsy I was able to cut and past in pictures.
I do not know why I cannot do so now. Have also tried web link photobucket pictures with similar lousy result.
Will try again. Anyone have the new instructions for pictures?

Hmm. No response to Blackest Night variant graded at 9.6 or to Amazing Spider-Man #102?
Sheesh! Some folks are hard to please.

Oh well, sorry I have been offline for a while. There are other tasks in like, unpleasant as they may be.

Here's one from Hercules. No, that that Hercules. Nope,. not that one either - Charlton Hercules.
I guess SOMEONE should have copyrighted the name.
Hey, that horse has a horn on it's snout, and some mean looking teeth...

Here's my Weird Western Tales - A very conservative grade of 4.5 condition CPG Guide price of $30.

This is the first in the Weird Western Tales series even though it is #12.
Continued from another series - I forget which one.

One more for Monday... I have come to like these Sugar & Spike comics from Sheldon Mayer.
Believe me, Sugar is anything but sweet! Beguiled Spike goes along with almost anything...

Have a good week.

Deleted Railroad comics post - suffice it to say if you see a railroad comics
(they have no cover- just a printed page as the cover) put out by the Railroad Association of America
If you find one for a couple of bucks - buy it. If they want $10 or more - you should probably pass.

I used to know how to put up pictures here - going to the new forum is about as much fun as going from
Windows XP to Windows 7. You get the idea. (place grumbling here...)

Here's the railroad comic link. All I can do for now.
